Tariff and Development Board Notice No. 327—Inquiry Concerning Protection for Certain Seeds and Cereals of Tariff Headings 07.05, 10.07, 12.01, and 12.03—Amendment to Schedule A of Notice No. 310

  1. In Tariff and Development Board Notice No. 310 (New Zealand Gazette dated 9 November 1972) the Board gave notice of its intention to conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, 11 April 1973, into the question of the nature and extent of protection, if any, which it considers appropriate for New Zealand industry in respect of certain goods including certain seeds and cereals specified in Schedule A to the notice.

  2. Interested parties are advised that the note to Schedule A of the notice is amended by substituting the word “goods” for “seeds” in referring to the content of Tariff headings 10.07 and 12.01. The note, in its amended form, will read:

“To facilitate proceedings the Board will hear evidence on these goods in two stages. Stage 1 will be confined to evidence relating to seeds, for sowing, of Tariff headings 07.05 and 12.03 and Stage 2, which will immediately follow Stage 1, will include the evidence on the goods of Tariff headings 10.07 and 12.01.”

  1. Parties intending to make representations at the public hearing on Wednesday, 11 April 1973, should have regard to the above amendment in preparing their submissions.

Dated at Wellington this 19th day of December 1972.

C. H. S. RODDEN, Secretary,

Tariff and Development Board.
