Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Relinquishments, Cancellations, Transfers, and Resignations of Officers of the New Zealand Cadet Forces

PURSUANT to section 59 of the Defence Act 1971, the Minister of Defence hereby approves the following appointments, promotions, extensions, relinquishments, cancellations, transfers, and resignations of officers of the New Zealand Cadet Forces:

SEA CADET CORPS

Appointments
Bruce Ephraim Dorsey is appointed to a commission in the rank of Sub Lieutenant with effect from 8 November 1972.
Ronald Charles Belk is appointed to a commission in the rank of Sub Lieutenant with effect from 14 November 1972.
Kenneth Leonard Heward is appointed to a commission in the rank of Sub Lieutenant with effect from 14 November 1972.
John Nuttall is appointed to a commission in the rank of Sub Lieutenant with effect from 14 November 1972.

Termination
The appointment of Ensign Anthony James Warren is terminated with effect from 9 November 1972.
SCHOOL CADET CORPS

Appointments
Captain R. E. Brine to be temporary Major with effect from 1 November 1972.
2nd Lieutenant J. A. N. Ivory to be temporary Lieutenant with effect from 1 November 1972.
Temporary Lieutenant J. A. N. Ivory to be acting Captain with effect from 1 November 1972.

Promotion
Temp. Lieutenant N. Guirey to be Lieutenant with effect from 22 November 1972.

Retirements
Major Richard George Pilling is retired with effect from 27 October 1972.
Lieutenant (Hon.) Ralph Alfred Lilly is retired with effect from 4 October 1972.

Extension of Commission
Major G. T. H. Maslin is granted an extension of his commission until 31 December 1975.

Appointments
Travis Life King is appointed to a commission for a period of 4 years in the rank of Flying Officer with effect from 30 October 1972.
Ritchie James De Montalk is appointed to a commission for a period of 4 years in the rank of Pilot Officer with effect from 18 October 1972.
Denis Ronald Goodwin is appointed to a commission for a period of 4 years in the rank of Pilot Officer with effect from 10 October 1972.
Kenneth Ivan Williamson is appointed to a commission for a period of 4 years in the rank of Pilot Officer with effect from 1 October 1972.
Bruce Lindsay Drake is appointed to a commission for a period of 4 years in the rank of Pilot Officer with effect from 17 October 1972.
Donald Keith Hope is appointed to a commission for a period of 4 years in the rank of Pilot Officer with effect from 18 October 1972.
Graham Baden McEwen is appointed to a commission for a period of 4 years in the rank of Pilot Officer with effect from 19 October 1972.
Pilot Officer B. F. Martin to be temporary Flying Officer with effect from 17 October 1972.

Temporary Flight Lieutenant R. A. Reekie to be Flight Lieutenant with effect from 28 November 1972.

Pilot Officer G. M. Hider to be Flying Officer with effect from 23 November 1972.

Extensions of Commission
Flight Lieutenant J. C. Pattie is granted an extension of his commission until 31 May 1974.
