Railway Land at Westport Set Apart for Harbour Works
Pursuant to section 25 of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be set apart for harbour works subject to the Harbours Act 1950, from and after the 6th day of December 1971.

ALL those pieces of land described as follows:

Declaring Land Taken for the Purposes of the N.I.M.T. Railway Near Erua
Pursuant to section 216 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the N.I.M.T. Railway on and after the 6th day of December 1971.

Change of Purpose of a Reserve and Vesting in the Raetihi Borough Council
Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby changes the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for the deposit of road material to a reserve for tree planting purposes; and further, vests the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Raetihi, in trust, for tree planting purposes.
This notice is issued in substitution for the notice dated 22 March 1971 and published in Gazette, 25 March 1971, page 537, and that notice is hereby cancelled.

Amending Foreshore Licence for Ramp at Kereta, Thames Coast
Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine and Fisheries hereby gives notice that the licence of 8 June 1959* authorising the Thames Angling Club to use and occupy part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Kereta, Thames Coast, as a site for a ramp is hereby amended by deleting the symbols "M.D. 10520" and substituting the symbols "M.D. 14422".

Declaring an Area for the Operation of Motor Launches and Water Skiers at Lake Tekapo—Mackenzie County Council
Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, the Minister of Marine and Fisheries hereby declares that, until further notice subject to compliance with the conditions set out in the Second Schedule hereto, the area of water described in the First Schedule hereto shall not be subject to regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962.
FIRST SCHEDULE
All that area of water in Lake Tekapo situated in Block XIII, Tekapo Survey District, bounded by lines commencing at a point on the northern boundary of the 1-chain lake-edge reserve, such point being on a bearing of 281° 10' and 2,450 links distant from a mark on the concrete surface of the New Zealand Electricity Department tunnel intake structure, such mark being the intersection of the centre line of the bridge to the intake and the southern edge of the intake structure; thence north-westerly along the boundary of the said 1-chain lake reserve, bearing 313° 6' and distance 1,100 links; thence north-easterly along a line bearing 29° 10', distance 1,400 links; then north-easterly along a line bearing 74° 15', distance 2,500 links; thence south-easterly along a line bearing 148° 30', distance 1,250 links; thence south-westerly along a line bearing 210° 30', distance 1,500 links; thence south-westerly along a line bearing 262°, distance 2,300 links, to the point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE

The principal limiting lines of the area, being those of bearing 29° 10', distance 1,400 links, and being 262°, distance 2,300 links, shall be controlled by marker posts. In the case of the former, the southern end shall be marked by two posts, one near the water's edge, and the other about 1 chain back and on rising ground. The northern alignment shall be marked also by two posts, placed similarly on the hillside above the skating rink so as to be clearly visible from the lake waters along the line. In the case of the latter line, the western end shall be marked by two posts as above and the alignment eastwards by the northern extremity of the plantation near the shoreline of the eastern side of Lake Tekapo. Posts shall be painted white and surmounted with triangular signs painted red in order that a line-up of each pair of signs will be a clear indication of the principal boundaries of the area in question.

The area described in the First Schedule hereto shall be shown cross hatched on a plan of the lake, on a scale of not less than 5 chains to 1 in., which shall be displayed on the lower portion of a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft, painted white with black lettering, which notice board shall be erected at the place where boats are normally launched.

The upper portion of the aforesaid notice board shall contain the following notice:
"NOTICE
MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1962
There is no speed restriction for motor launches and water skiers using the area shown cross hatched on the plan below."
