  1. Livestock in Crates—Calves (not exceeding six months old), sheep, pigs or goats properly secured in crates so as to prevent damage to other goods will be charged as follows:
Gross Weight per Crate Rate
Not exceeding 3 cwt Class C plus 50%.
Exceeding 3 cwt Class C double rate.
  1. Where the owner desires that livestock in crates be forwarded in a livestock wagon, the railage charges on the consignment must not be less than the appropriate charges for such livestock had the same been forwarded loose in the wagon.

  2. Store Cattle and Store Sheep in Large Mobs—Cattle and sheep from one consignor and forwarding station to one consignee and destination station, certified by the consignor to be bona fide store stock, not consigned for slaughter, will be charged as follows:

100 miles and over .. {First 15 wagons .. Class M.
Each additional wagon.. Class M less $2 per wagon.
Under 100 miles .. As for 100 miles at the above rates if cheaper than the classified rates.

  1. Fodder—Consignors of stock may be allowed free conveyance of fodder sufficient for the outward journey, and in the case of show stock for homeward journey also.

  2. Wagon loads of artificial fertiliser or manure, and raw materials for manufacture thereof (but excluding liquid fertilisers and manure) will be conveyed at the following rates under the conditions specified:

Any less quantity will be charged at such minimum or at class E plus 25 percent or Class E plus 50 percent (as the case may be) in accordance with the rates and conditions specified in section 72, paragraph 2.
