the Public Works Act 1928, proposes, under the provisions of section 20 (1) of the Public Works Amendment Act 1952, to change the purpose of tenure of the land described in the Schedule hereto from its present designation of “in connection with street” to “service lane”. Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land for which the change of purpose of tenure is sought, being Survey Office Plan No. 27944, is deposited at the offices of the Council, Administration Building, Laings Road, Lower Hutt, and is there open for inspection by all persons without fee during ordinary office hours. All persons who are affected by the proposed change of purpose shall send such objection in writing to the Town Clerk of the Lower Hutt City Corporation, Administration Building, Laings Road, Lower Hutt, within a period of forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice and if any such objection is made, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

ALL that piece of land situate in the City of Lower Hutt containing one and five-tenths perches (1.5 p.), more or less, being part of Section 32, Hutt District, and being also that part of Lot 122 on Deposited Plan No. 1534, more particularly shown coloured sepia on Survey Office Plan No. 27944 and being part of the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 370, folio 11, Wellington Registry.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR QUARRY

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitomo County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely the operation of a quarry for road metal, and for the purposes of such public work, the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. Notice is hereby given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the County Clerk of the Council, situated in Te Kuiti, and is there open for inspection by all persons without fee during ordinary office hours.

Every person affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said land should, if they have any objection to the execution of the said work or the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the written objection to the County Clerk, Waitomo County, Alexandra Street, Te Kuiti, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice. If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing to the objection shall be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

HOBSON COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND AND NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO STOP ROAD

NOTICE is hereby given that the Hobson County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Counties Act 1956, to execute a certain public work, namely the realignment of a road within the County of Hobson; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the First Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and it is proposed to stop those portions of road described in the Second Schedule hereto, and it is proposed to take the lands described in the Third Schedule hereto as severance. And notice is hereby given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken

and the road to be stopped is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the Council, situated in Dargaville, and is there open for inspection to all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said lands, or the proposed stopping of unused road should, if they have any objection to the taking of the said lands (not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation) or to the proposed stopping of unused road, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk, at the County Office, Dargaville; and that if any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of meeting.

The land to be taken is for Arapohue Main Road.
