THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

The objects of the Bill are as follows:

  1. To incorporate the Board of Control of the Bradley
    National Park of Canterbury as a body corporate with
    perpetual succession.

  2. Within 1 year of the death of the last surviving life tenant
    under the will to vest in the said Board all real and personal
    property forming the said estate and including 1,615 acres and
    3.2 perches being the land comprised in Certificates of Title
    9B/871, 446/112, 499/209, and 514/247 (Canterbury Registry),
    situate at Charteris Bay, subject to all liabilities to the intent
    that such property shall be held for the purposes of a national
    park for the use, benefit, and enjoyment of the people of New
    Zealand.

  3. No gift duty, stamp duty, land tax, or income tax shall be
    payable in respect of the transfer of assets to or operation of
    the Bradley National Park of Canterbury by the Board of
    Control.

The promoters of this Bill are Lionel Denis Cotterill, of
Christchurch, solicitor, and Edward James Bradshaw, of
Christchurch, accountant, being the trustees in the said will,
whose address for service is at the offices of Messrs Duncan,
Cotterill, and Co., Third Floor, B.N.Z. House, Cathedral
Square, Christchurch, where a copy of the Bill may be
inspected.

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR WATER RACE
LICENCE

GEORGE ROWLAND HORE, of Tokarahi, farmer, hereby gives
notice that he has applied to the Warden’s Court, at Oamaru,
for a water race licence to take two heads of water for irriga-
tion purposes from a water race having a mean breadth of
3 ft and a mean depth of 1 ft commencing at a peg marked
“X” on the east bank of the Maerewhenua River where there
is an existing pumping unit on Section 37, Block VII, Maere-
whenua Survey District, thence by pipe line in a north-easterly
direction 350 ft to a peg marked “X” on the said Section 37,
thence by a series of races as shown on the plan annexed to
the application to irrigate by gravity all the land on Sections
36, 37, and 38, Block VII of the said survey district.

The application may be inspected at the Warden’s Court, at
Oamaru, and will be heard at the said Court at 10.30 o’clock
in the forenoon on Wednesday, the 10th day of November
1971, and all objections to the application must be filed in
the said Court and served on the applicant at least 3 clear
days prior to the hearing.

The address for service of the applicant is at the offices of
Messrs Fitch, Mackay, Walker, and Salisbury, Town Hall
Chambers, Thames Street, Oamaru.

The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.

STATUTORY REGULATIONS

Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of
general legislative force are no longer published in the New
Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of
the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing),
subscription $10 per calendar year in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram,
$5 per volume. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and
1939-42 are out of print.)

(3) Separate regulations as issued.
