Declaring Land to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 265 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I,
Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of
New Zealand, being satisfied that the land described in
the Schedule hereto has been vested in the Crown, hereby
declare the said land to be Crown land, and shall be subject
to the Land Act 1948.

Allocating Land Taken or Reserved for Railway Purposes at
Palmerston North to the Purposes of a Street

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I,
Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of
New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication
hereof in the Gazette, be vested as street; and that the said
street shall be under the control of the Palmerston North City
Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like
manner as other public highways are controlled and main-
tained by the said Council.

Amending Proclamation Allocating Land Acquired for the
Kaihu Valley Railway to the Purposes of Road
ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I
Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of
New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication
hereof in the Gazette, become road and that the said road
shall be under the control of the National Roads Board and
shall be maintained by the said Board in like manner as other
public highways are controlled and maintained by the said
Board. And the Proclamation issued the 12th day of January
1971, and published in New Zealand Gazette, 21 January
1971, No. 5, page 77, is hereby revoked.

The Blackstone Pest Destruction District Amending Order 1971

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 27th day of
September 1971
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes
the following order.
ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Blackstone Pest Destruction
    District Amending Order 1971, and shall be read together with
    and deemed part of the Order in Council altering and redefin-
    ing the boundaries of the Blackstone Pest Destruction District,
    published in the Gazette of 29 July 1971, at page 1484 (herein-
    after referred to as the principal order).
  2. The principal order is hereby amended by revoking the
    Schedule thereto and substituting therefor the Schedule to this
    order.
    SCHEDULE
    BOUNDARIES OF THE BLACKSTONE PEST DESTRUCTION DISTRICT
    ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Counties of Manio-
    toto, Vincent, and Waitaki, containing 157,850 acres, more or
    less, bounded by a line commencing at Mount Ida on the
    eastern boundary of Idaburn Survey District and proceeding
    generally south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of
    part Run 227D to the north-eastern side of No. 85 State
    Highway; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern side
    of that highway to a point in line with the north-western side
    of the Ida Valley - Omakau Road; thence south-westerly to
    and along the north-western side of that road to a point in
    line with the north-western side of the Ida Valley Back Road;
