FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO STOP PIECES OF ROAD
IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments:
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Franklin County Council proposes, pursuant to section 148 of the Public Works Act 1928, to stop those pieces of the Mangatangi-Kaiaua Road situated in Block III, Wharekawa Survey District, County of Franklin. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the pieces of road so proposed to be stopped is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the Franklin County Council situated in Roulston Street, Pukekohe, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons who may wish to make any objections to the above proposal to stop the said pieces of road must set forth their objections in writing and send the same to the County Clerk at the office of the Franklin County Council, Roulston Street, Pukekohe within 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice. If any objections are received by the Franklin County Council, as aforesaid, a public notice shall be published calling a meeting of the ratepayers of the district, such meeting to be held at a time and place to be specified in the said notice, the time so specified being not earlier than 14 days after the date of publication of the notice pursuant to the said section of the Public Works Act 1928.

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Dunedin City Development Loan No. 12, 1971—$2,900,000
Resolution Passed by the Dunedin City Council on Monday, 20 September 1971
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $2,900,000, authorised to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of meeting part of the cost of augmenting the city water supplies, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.363c in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the above-mentioned date.

SOUTHLAND CATCHMENT BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Duck Creek Works Redemption Loan No. 3, 1971—$4,400
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, and all other powers in that behalf it enabling, the Southland Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of $4,400, known as the Duck Creek Works Redemption Loan No. 3, 1971, authorised to be raised by the Southland Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying the outstanding balance of the Duck Creek Works Loan 1956, third issue of $7,000, which matures on 1 November 1971, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate on a graduated scale according to a classification made for the purposes of such rate of the lands within that part of the Southland Catchment District known as the Duck Creek Drainage Rating District as defined in the Southland Catchment Board Empowering Act 1953, such special rate being as follows:
Fourteen decimal four cents (14.4c) per acre on lands classified as Class A:
Twelve cents (12c) per acre on lands classified as Class B:
Nine decimal six cents (9.6c) per acre on lands classified as Class C:
Two decimal four cents (2.4c) per acre on lands classified as Class D:
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of 10 years or until the loan is fully paid off.
The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Southland Catchment Board held on the 10th day of September 1971.

CHEVIOT COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Cheviot Fire Engine Replacement Loan 1971—$13,500
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Cheviot County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $13,500 under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting part of the cost of a new fire engine and associated equipment for use by the Cheviot Volunteer Fire Brigade, the Cheviot County Council hereby makes a special rate of point nought two six of a cent (.026c) in the dollar on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Cheviot, this special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Renewal Loan 1971—$94,000
Resolution Passed by the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board on Monday, 20 September 1971
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $94,000, authorised to be raised by the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Drainage Extension Loan 1959 which matures on 1 December 1971, the said Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board hereby makes a special rate of 0.020c in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Board’s district, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin and the Borough of St. Kilda, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of six (6) and ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
We hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board on the above-mentioned date.
