Plymouth City Council held on the 14th day of September

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Renewal Loan No. 4, 1971—$283,800
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Wellington City Council held on the 8th day of September
1971:
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wel-
ington City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of two hundred and eighty-three thousand eight hundred
dollars, authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Coun-
cil under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying
on maturity those portions of City Works Loan No. 2, 1950 of
$870,400, Te Aro Flat Development Loan No. 3, 1958 of
$200,000, Street Works Loan 1955 of $1,100,000, Electricity
Loan No. 2 1957 of $1,050,000, Abattoir Loan 1959 of
$1,000,000, Abattoir Loan 1965 of $360,000, Johnsonville
Sewerage Loan 1961 of $162,000, and Renewal Loan No. 4,
1965 of $459,800, which mature on 1 November 1971, the said
Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal
nought one four of a cent (.014c) in the dollar upon the rate-
able value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rate-
able property within the whole of the City of Wellington, and
that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day
of April in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years or until the loan is
fully paid off.”

PAPARUA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Paparua County Council hereby resolved as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual
charges on a loan of $14,000 authorised to be
raised by the Paparua County Council under the above-
mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the purpose
for which the Office Extension Loan, 1970 of $140,000
was sanctioned, the said Paparua County Council makes a
special rate of 0.001251c in the dollar upon the rateable value
of all the rateable property in the area included in the loan,
and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of the loan and be repayable yearly on the
1st day of April in each and every year during the currency
of the loan, being a period of 25 years or until the loan is
fully paid off.”

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Redemption Loan No. 12, 1971
THAT, whereas the sum of $8,000 borrowed by the Waitemata
County Council under the Redemption Loan No. 2, 1965,
$29,200 is due and payable on 1 November 1971, and whereas
the sum of $6,700 is required to pay for the said loan, the
Waitemata County Council, in exercise of the powers vested
in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956,
hereby resolves:
(a) To borrow the sum of $6,700 for the purpose of repaying
the said loan.
(b) That the sum of $6,700 shall be payable on the 1st day
of November 1989 or such earlier date as may be determined
by Council.
(c) That for the purpose of providing interest, principal, and
other charges on the Redemption Loan No. 12, 1971, the said
Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0006c in the dollar
on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property
within the County of Waitemata, and that such special rate
shall be an annually recurring rate through the currency of
the loan and payable yearly on the 1st day of June each year
during the currency of the loan, being a period of 18 years
or until the loan is fully paid off.
(d) That authority be granted to gazette this resolution.
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of
an extract from the minutes passed by the Waitemata County
Council on 26 August 1971.

THE PERPETUAL TRUSTEES ESTATE AND AGENCY
COMPANY AMENDMENT ACT 1971
NOTICE is hereby given that the Perpetual Trustees Estate
and Agency Co. of New Zealand Ltd. proposes to apply for
leave to bring into the General Assembly of New Zealand in
Parliament assembled during its present session a Private Bill,
the objects of which are to restrict the owning or holding
of shares of the company by any person to one-fiftieth of the
issued shares in the capital of the company, to provide for
the compulsory sale of shares in cases where shareholders
own or hold shares in excess of the above restriction and to
provide that during the time that a person holds shares in
contravention to the provisions of the Act the registered holder
of the shares shall not be entitled to exercise more votes than
are permitted by a one-fiftieth holding of shares in the capital
of the company.
The promoter of the Private Act is the Perpetual Trustees
Estate and Agency Co. of New Zealand Ltd.
Communications or notices to the promoter may be sent
to, and copy of the Bill may be inspected at, the offices of
Messrs Downie Stewart, Payne, Forrester, and Armitage,
solicitors for the promoter, 335 Princes Street, Dunedin.

PURSUANT to the Pharmacy Act 1970, notice is hereby given
that an election of members of the Council of the Pharma-
ceutical Society of New Zealand will be held in the month of
November 1971.
Nominations of candidates, on the prescribed form, close
with the Registrar at 4 p.m. on 1 November 1971.
Voting papers, if a poll is required, will be received by
the Registrar until 4 p.m. on 22 November 1971.
