ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Malvern County, containing 59,450 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of High Peak Road in the middle of the Selwyn River in Block I, Hororata Survey District, and proceeding north-easterly and south-easterly down the middle of that river to the middle of Pig Saddle Road, Block III, Hororata Survey District; thence north-easterly generally along the middle of that road, Bluff Road, and Barrs Road to the middle of the Hawkins River; thence south-easterly generally down the middle of that river to the middle of Deans Road, Block I, Hawkins Survey District; thence north-easterly along the middle of that road to the middle of West Coast Road (No. 73 State Highway); thence south-easterly along the middle of that road to the middle of Homebush Road in Block VI, Hawkins Survey District; thence westerly along the middle of that road to and southerly along the middle of Clintons Road to the middle of McLaughlins Road; thence south-westerly along the middle of that road and its production to the middle of the Selwyn River, Block XIII, Hawkins Survey District; thence north-westerly generally up the middle of that river to the middle of Wairiri Road (No. 72 State Highway); thence south-westerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the middle of Davies Road; thence north-westerly generally to and along the middle of that road, Whitecliffs Road, and High Peak Road to the point of commencement.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Malvern County, containing 989,050 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Rakaia River in line with the middle of Camping Gully, Block VII, Fighting Hill Survey District, and proceeding north-westerly generally up the middle of that river and the middle of the Mathias River to Mathias Pass on the Main Divide; thence north-easterly generally along the Main Divide to the Dampier Range; thence south-easterly generally along the summit of that range through Trig. M, “Esk Head”, to Trig. W, in Block I, Okuku Survey District; thence south-westerly generally along the summit of the Puketeraki Range to Trig. PURSUANT to section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby publishes the following special order made by the Bay of Islands County Council.

SPECIAL ORDER

IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23 of the Counties Act 1956, and all other powers in that behalf enabling, the Bay of Islands County Council hereby resolves by way of special order, as follows:

  1. That the division of that portion of the County comprising the Purerua and Okaihau Ridings shall be altered by a boundary adjustment between the said two ridings; and the new boundaries of the ridings shall be as described in the Schedule hereto.

  2. The alteration hereby made shall take effect from the date of gazetting hereof

OKAIHAU RIDING

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Bay of Islands County, bounded by a line commencing at the southern-most corner of Section 45, Block XII, Kaeo Survey District, and proceeding south-easterly, southerly, and south-westerly along the north-eastern, eastern, and south-eastern boundaries of Old Land Claim 28, to and easterly generally down the middle of the Kerikeri River, to and southerly along the middle of State Highway No. 10 to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 32003 in Block X, Kerikeri Survey District; thence south-easterly along a right line, to and along that south-western boundary and its production, to and south-westerly generally up the middle of the Puketotara Stream, to and along the south-eastern boundaries
