Consenting to Stopping Road in Block XI, Orahiri Survey District, Waitomo County
PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby consents to the Waitomo County Council stopping the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL those portions of road situated in Block XI, Orahiri Survey District, described as follows:
A. R. P. Adjoining or passing through
0 0 4.3 Lot 1 D.P. 37352; coloured green on plan. 0 0 6.5 Section 56, Block XI, Orahiri Survey District; coloured green, edged green, on plan.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 25359 (S.O. 45464) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Revoking in Part a Notice Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work to be Crown Land
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby revokes the notice dated the 11th day of December 1969, and published in Gazette, 18 December 1969, Vol. III, page 2637, declaring land acquired for a Government work to be Crown Land in so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Consent to the Generation of Electricity by Douglas Peat by the Use of Water
PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity hereby consents to the generation of electricity by Douglas Peat of Waitotara, farmer, by the use of water, subject to the following conditions.
CONDITIONS
-
The conditions directed by the Water Power Regulations 1934, to be implied in every licence to use water for the purpose of generating or storing electricity shall be deemed to be conditions of this consent as if it were such a licence.

This consent is subject to compliance with the Water Power Regulations 1934, the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and all regulations hereafter made in amendment of or in substitution for any of those regulations, as if in the case of the Water Power Regulations 1934 it were a licence under the Public Works Act 1928 to use water for the purpose of generating electricity as well as a consent under the Electricity Act 1968 to generate electricity by the use of water.

The generation of electricity by the use of water pursuant to this consent shall be carried out by means of the works described in the Schedule hereto.

This consent shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March 1992.

This consent confers no rights to water under the Water and Soil Conservation Act 1967, or otherwise.

For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum payable in respect of this consent, the maximum generating capacity of the plant at the date of this consent is 13 kW.
SCHEDULE
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
(a) Headworks consisting of a dam and intake with a water race and pipeline leading to the powerhouse; giving a static head of approximately 49 ft.
(b) A water turbine and powerhouse with all necessary equipment for generating electricity, situated in Mangapapa No. 2 Block, Momahaki Survey District.
(c) A pipeline leading from the powerhouse into the Makakaho Stream.
As shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 830 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

Licensing Douglas Peat, of Waitotara, Farmer, to Erect and Use Electric Lines
PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity hereby licences Douglas Peat, of Waitotara, farmer, subject to the following conditions, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.
CONDITIONS
-
This licence is subject to compliance with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and all regulations made in amendment of or in substitution for any of those regulations.

The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraph (d) of regulation 15 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967, and shall be a direct current system.

The licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March 1992.
SCHEDULE
ELECTRIC lines leading from the powerhouse and proceeding:
(i) In a westerly direction generally across the Makakaho Road to four dwellings, a workshop, a shed, and a cow-bail, all situated in Mangapapa No. 2 Block.
(ii) In a north-easterly direction generally to a woolshed and cattle yards situated in Mangapapa No. 2 Block.
(iii) In an easterly direction generally across the Makakaho Stream to a powerhouse situated in Section 5, Block VI, Momahaki Survey District.
All being situated in the County of Patea as shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 830 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

Fixing the Time and Place for Holding the First Meeting of the Rotorua Area Electricity Authority
PURSUANT to an Order in Council dated 9 August 1971, made under the Electricity Distribution Commission Act 1967 and to section 32 of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, the Minister of Electricity hereby gives notice that the first meeting of the Rotorua Area Electricity Authority shall be held at the offices of the Rotorua City Council in Rotorua at 2 p.m., on the 31st day of August 1971.
