Agreement for Grant of Right of Way in Favour of H. Baigent
and Sons Limited (a Duly Incorporated Company Having its
Registered Office at Nelson) Over Land Situated in Blocks
V and IX, Waimea Survey District, Held for a Soil Con-
servation Reserve, Assented to

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the 3rd day of September
1957, and published in Gazette, 5 September 1957, Volume III,
at page 1609, all that piece of land containing 9 acres 2 roods
3.2 perches, being part Sections 12 and 62, Square 2, Block V,
Waimea Survey District, Nelson R.D., was taken for a soil
conservation reserve:
And whereas H. Baigent and Sons Limited, aforesaid, was
entitled to compensation in respect of its interest in the said
land:
And whereas the Minister of Works has agreed to grant to the
said H. Baigent and Sons Limited a right of way over an area
of approximately 100 acres, situated in Blocks V and IX, Wai-
mea Survey District, being part Section 9, Square 2, and part
Section 162, District of Waimea West, being all the land com-
prised in Proclamation No. 2064, Nelson Registry, held for
a soil conservation reserve, as part satisfaction of the com-
pensation aforesaid:
And whereas the said H. Baigent and Sons Limited has agreed
to accept such grant of right of way in part satisfaction of
the said compensation:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Works hereby gives notice,
pursuant to section 97 of the Public Works Act 1928, that he
assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions
of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for better utilisation the
land described in the Schedule hereto: And notice is hereby
further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken
is deposited in the post office at Tauranga and is there open
for inspection; that all persons affected by the taking of the
said land should, if they have any objections to the taking of
the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment
of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the
written objection within 40 days of the first publication of this
notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington; and that, if
any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public
hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector other-
wise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time
and place of the hearing.

ALL that piece of land containing 1 acre 1 rood 17 perches
situated in Block XIV, Tauranga Survey District, City of
