“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of $50,000, to be known as the Rural Housing Loan 1971, authorised to be raised by the Akito County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making advances to farmers under the provisions of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Akito County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal two eight six two cents (.2862c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Akito, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

ROTORUA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan No. 7, 1971, $100,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rotorua County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $100,000, authorised to be raised by the Rotorua County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Rotorua County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.03c in the dollar upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Rotorua, and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Waterworks Improvement Supplementary Loan 1971, $10,000

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Huntly Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing annual charges on a loan of $10,000, authorised to be raised by the Huntly Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the purpose for which the Waterworks Improvement Loan 1966, $100,000 was sanctioned, the said Huntly Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought three cents in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Huntly, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

BOROUGH OF LAWRENCE
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

“THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and all other powers in that behalf enabling it, the Lawrence Borough Council hereby resolves that for the purpose of repayment of the Waterworks Improvement Loan 1971, $40,000 and interest thereon, the Council appropriates and pledges a special annually recurring rate of 8c in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all the rateable property in the Borough of Lawrence, comprising the whole of the Borough of Lawrence.”

THE WAITAKI ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Extension Loan 1971, $250,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waitaki Electric-power Board resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $250,000, to be known as Extension Loan 1971, and authorised to be raised by the Waitaki Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the Waitaki Electric-power District, the said Waitaki Electric-power Board hereby makes a special rate of 0.02356c in the dollar upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property in the Waitaki Electric-power District, comprising the constituent districts of Oamaru Borough, Waitaki County, and part Waimate County and part Mackenzie County, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The Waitaki Electric-power Board passed the above resolution at a meeting held on the 26th day of July 1971.

“PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hikurangi Town Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $10,000, authorised to be raised by the Hikurangi Town Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the purpose for which the Water Treatment Plant Loan 1970—$31,300 was sanctioned, the said Hikurangi Town Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0025c in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Town District of Hikurangi, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of March and the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one hundred and seventy-one thousand dollars ($171,000), to be known as Housing (Newtown Park Flats, Stage III) Additional Loan 1971—$171,000, authorised to be raised by Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting public rental flats, the said Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought five of a cent (.005c) in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of forty (40) years or until the loan is fully paid off.
