APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE FOR A WATER RACE

BRUCE OVERTON, of Matarae, sheepfarmer, hereby gives notice
that he has applied for a licence for a water race commencing
at a point in the Taieri River approximately 30 yards below a
swing bridge which crosses the Taieri River at the boundary
of Crown leasehold Runs 79A and 79B, Nenthorn Survey
District, running in a south-westerly direction through the
Taieri River Reserve and through Bruce Overton's Crown
leasehold Run 79D, Nenthorn Survey District, and running
underneath the Otago Central Railway line and the Sutton
Pukerangi Road through a storm water culvert and terminating
at a storage dam in a gully on Bruce Overton's said lease-
hold land.

The application and all objections thereto will be heard on
Tuesday, the 9th day of February 1971 at 10 a.m., at the
Warden's Court at Cromwell, and all objections must be filed
in the Registrar's office and notified to the applicant or his
solicitors at least 3 days before the time so appointed.

District Scheme Approved
PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the district scheme
under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for the Golden Bay County Council was approved by the Council
by resolution passed at a meeting held on the 22nd day of January 1971, after all objections, appeals, and arbitrations
relating to the scheme had been disposed of and the scheme had been amended to give effect to all objections and appeals
allowed and all amendments of the district scheme required by the Board had been incorporated.

The Council has also resolved that the scheme shall come into operation on the 1st day of March 1971.

Copies of the scheme as approved, have been deposited in the Council's office at Takaka and also at the office of the
Council's Town Planning Consultant, Mr A. Bowman, 320
Trafalgar Square, Nelson, and may be inspected without fee
by any person who so requires at any time when those offices

MARSDEN POINT TO AUCKLAND

Notice of Application
NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to the provisions of the
Petroleum Act 1937, the undersigned on behalf of six oil
companies, has applied to the Minister of Mines for a pipe-
line authorisation to convey refined oil products by pipeline
from the Marsden Point Oil Refinery to Auckland, passing
through various properties in the Counties of Whangarei,
Otamatea, Rodney, and Waitemata and through the roads and
streets of the greater Auckland area to a terminal point
within the City of Manakau.

Copies of the application and plan of the general route are
on view in County Offices at Whangarei, Paparoa, Warkworth,
Huapai, and at Waitemata County Office, Greys Avenue, Auck-
land, until Friday, 12 February 1971.
