TIMARU CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Storm Water Drainage Supplementary Loan 1971—$11,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of completing the works for which the Storm Water Drainage Loan 1969 of $110,000 was authorised, the said Timaru City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought seven two (.0072) cents in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Timaru, and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 10 years or until such loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Timaru City Council held on the 20th day of July 1971.

TAUPO BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Works Redemption Loan 1971, $10,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taupo Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of ten thousand dollars, authorised to be raised by the Taupo Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying on maturity portion of the Works Loan 1960 which matures on 1 October 1971, the said Taupo Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought eight five cents in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Taupo, comprising the whole of the Borough of Taupo, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I certify that the foregoing resolution was passed by the Taupo Borough Council at a meeting held on the 26th day of July 1971.

CITY OF MANUKAU

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Ti Rakau Drive Extension Loan 1971, $450,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manukau City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of $450,000, authorised to be raised by the Manukau City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of upgrading and extensions to Ti Rakau Drive, the construction of a bridge over the Pakuranga Creek, and a new road to connect with existing roads in East Tamaki, associated works, and cost of raising the loan within the City of Manukau, the said Manukau City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought three cents (.03c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the City of Manukau, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I, George Stanley Davies, Acting Town Clerk of the Manukau City Council, hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Manukau City Council held on the 29th day of July 1971.

RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Rural Housing Act 1939, the Rodney County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $100,000, authorised to be raised by the Rodney County Council under the above-mentioned Acts, such loan

to be known as the Rural Housing Loan No. 7, 1971—$100,000, for the purpose of making advances to farmers for the erection of dwellings under the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Rodney County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought five five three cents (.0553c) in the dollar on the basis of the unimproved value of all the rateable property in the whole of the County of Rodney, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off. It is not proposed to collect the special rate, but to meet the annual charges on the loan from the repayments of interest and principal made by persons to whom the advances are made by the Council, pursuant to the Rural Housing Act 1939.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Rodney County Council held on 22 July 1971.

TAUMARUNUI BOROUGH COUNCIL

SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Extension Loan 1971, $240,000

“THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $240,000, authorised to be raised by the Taumarunui Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of extending the borough’s sewerage system, the said Taumarunui Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of point four five nought five cents (.4505c) in the dollar ($) on the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Taumarunui, and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Taumarunui Borough Council at a meeting held on Monday, 26 July 1971.

AUCKLAND REGIONAL AUTHORITY

SPECIAL ORDER

THE Auckland Regional Authority, in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, section 45, and in pursuance of the authority conferred upon it under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and in exercise of all other powers enabling it in that behalf doth hereby resolve, by special resolution intended to operate as a special order to borrow the sum of two million dollars ($2,000,000), to be known as Transport Loan No. 9, 1971, $2,000,000, for the purposes of and incidental to:

(a) The acquisition of the assets of various bus companies or their share capital, should legislation so permit.

(b) The purchase of additional vehicles, spare parts, and ancillary equipment and such other assets as are necessary for the operation of the expanded bus fleet.
