Pursuant to sections 7 and 265A of the Harbours Act 1950,
the Secretary for Marine hereby appoints:

Ernest William Ruske;
Ronald Arthur Sedgley; and
Frederick Aloysious Dean,
to be honorary launch wardens for the purposes of the Motor
Launch Regulations 1962.

Appointment of Examiners Under the Shipping and Seamen Act 1952
Pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Marine under
the Shipping and Seamen Act 1952,
Ronald Herbert Macintosh;
Arthur John Milton; and
Brian Peter Scott Charlton
have been appointed examiners for the purpose of granting—
(a) Certificates of competency as master of restricted-limit
launch;
(b) Local launchmen’s licences;
(c) Certificates of competency as inshore fishing skipper;
(d) Certificates of competency as second-class diesel trawler
engineer; and
(e) Certificates of competency as engineer of restricted-limit
motor ship—
in terms of section 20 of the said Act with effect from the date
hereof.

Social Security Act 1964, Maternity Notice
Pursuant to section 112 (4) of the Social Security Act 1964,
the Minister of Health hereby gives notice that, pursuant to
section 112 of that Act, David Russell Hay, M.D., CH.B.(N.Z.),
M.R.C.P.(LON.), F.R.A.C.P., M.R.A.C.P., of 137 Cambridge Terrace,
Christchurch 1, has withdrawn his notice that he is unwilling
to afford medical services in relation to maternity benefits on
the terms provided in section 112 of the Act.
The maternity notice relating to this said medical practitioner,
dated 9 May 1968, is hereby consequentially revoked.

Authorisation of 1971 Boat and Caravan Show
Pursuant to the Exhibitions Act 1910, the Minister of
Industries and Commerce hereby gives notice as follows:
-
In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires:
"The Act" means the Exhibitions Act 1910;
"The promoter" means the Auckland R. Class Yacht
Squadron, the Auckland Water Ski Club, the Auckland
Outboard Boating Club, and the New Zealand Easter
Show Committee;
"The exhibition" means a public exhibition of boats and
caravans to be conducted by the promoter at the
Auckland Showgrounds, Auckland, from the 25th day
of September to the 2nd day of October 1971 (both
inclusive) and to be known as the 1971 Boat and
Caravan Show. -
The exhibition is hereby authorised and declared to be
an exhibition within the meaning of the Act. -
Subject to the conditions set out in the Schedule hereto,
the following provisions are hereby suspended in so far as
they relate to work done, or business conducted, or services
rendered, in the said premises during the period of the exhibi-
tion, by or on behalf of the promoter, or by or on behalf of
any exhibitor at the exhibition, or by any person employed in
or about the exhibition, namely, such of the provisions of
(a) The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954
and all awards and industrial agreements in force
thereunder,
(b) The Shops and Offices Act 1955, and
(c) The Factories Act 1946
as relate to the hours of commencing or ceasing work, or to
the issue of permits, or to the payment for overtime, or
extended hours, or to holidays and half-holidays, or to the
closing of shops.
SCHEDULE
-
Forty hours shall constitute a week's work, to be worked
on 5 days of the week, and 8 hours shall constitute a day's
work in or about the exhibition; and, with the exception set
out in clause 2 hereof, the daily hours shall be worked
consecutively. -
No person shall be employed in or about the exhibition
for more than 4 hours without an interval of at least three-
quarters of an hour for a meal. -
(a) Any person employed during any day in or about
the exhibition who is employed on that day for more than
8 hours, 'or before the hour of 8 a.m., or after the hour of
10.30 p.m., or on any day in excess of 5 days per week
(whether the excess employment is in or about the exhibition
or otherwise) shall be paid for the excess employment at not
less than half as much again as the ordinary rate for the first
2 hours, and not less than twice the ordinary rate thereafter.
(b) Any person employed in or about the exhibition on
any day that would, but for the provisions of this order, have
been a whole holiday for that person by virtue of any Act,
or of any award or industrial agreement, shall be paid for
