WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Redemption Loan No. 7, 1971

THAT whereas the sum of $13,500, borrowed by the Waitemata County Council under the Glenfield West Sewer Loan 1965, $460,000, is due and payable on the 1st day of September 1971, and whereas the sum of $12,000 is required to pay for the said loan, the Waitemata County Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, hereby resolves:

(a) To borrow the sum of $12,000 for the purpose of repaying the said loan.

(b) That the sum of $12,000 shall be payable on the 1st day of September 1995 or such earlier date as may be determined by Council.

(c) That for the purpose of providing interest, principal, and other charges on the Redemption Loan No. 7, 1971, the said Council hereby makes a special rate of .0046c in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the Glenfield County Town Separate Area, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate through the currency of the loan and payable yearly on the 1st day of June each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 24 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

(d) That authority be granted to gazette this resolution.

Redemption Loan No. 8, 1971

THAT, whereas the sum of $20,000, borrowed by the Waitemata County Council under the Massey Sewer Loan 1965, $454,000, is due and payable on the 1st day of September 1971, and whereas the sum of $17,800 it required to pay for the said loan, the Waitemata County Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, hereby resolves:

(a) To borrow the sum of $17,800 for the purpose of repaying the said loan.

(b) That the sum of $17,800 shall be payable on the 1st day of September 1995 or such earlier date as may be determined by Council.

(c) That for the purpose of providing interest, principal, and other charges on the Redemption Loan No. 8, 1971, the said Council hereby makes a special rate of .047c in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the Waitakere No. 1 Urban Drainage Area, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate through the currency of the loan and payable yearly on the 1st day of June each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 24 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

(d) That authority be granted to gazette this resolution.

THAT, whereas the sum of $11,200, borrowed by the Waitemata County Council under the Swanson Sewer Reticulation Loan 1965, $156,000, is due and payable on the 1st day of September 1971, and whereas the sum of $9,900 is required to pay for the said loan, the Waitemata County Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, hereby resolves:

(a) To borrow the sum of $9,900 for the purpose of repaying the said loan.

(b) That the sum of $9,900 shall be payable on the 1st day of September 1995 or such earlier date as may be determined by Council.

(c) That for the purpose of providing interest, principal, and other charges on the Redemption Loan No. 9, 1971, the said Council hereby makes a special rate of .0174c in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the Waipareira “C” Special Area, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate through the currency of the loan and payable yearly on the 1st day of June each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 24 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

THAT, whereas the sum $40,000, borrowed by the Waitemata County Council under the Glenfield Sewerage Loan No. 1, 1960, $560,000, is due and payable on the 15th day of September 1971, and whereas the sum of $24,000 is required to pay for the said loan, the Waitemata County Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, hereby resolves:

(a) To borrow the sum of $24,000 for the purpose of repaying the said loan.

(b) That the sum of $24,000 shall be payable on the 1st day of September 1991 or such earlier date as may be determined by Council.

(c) That for the purpose of providing interest, principal, and other charges on the Redemption Loan No. 10, 1971, the said Council hereby makes a special rate of .01c in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the Glenfield County Town Special Area, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate through the currency of the loan and payable yearly on the 1st day of June each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

(d) That authority be granted to gazette this resolution.

RESOLUTION PASSED BY THE DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL ON MONDAY, 28 JUNE 1971, MAKING SPECIAL RATE FOR AIRPORT RENEWAL LOAN 1971

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $164,000, authorised to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Dunedin Airport Loan 1960 of $814,000 which matures on 1 October 1971, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of .0291c in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the above-mentioned date.
