- The Intellectually Handicapped Children’s Society
(Incorporated) North Otago Branch, an organisation
approved by the Minister of Labour under section 3 of the
Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, is hereby
granted exemption in respect of the sheltered workshop at 14
Sandringham Street, Oamaru, from:
(a) All the provisions of every award and industrial agreement which would otherwise be applicable in respect
of persons employed in that workshop; and
(b) Section 34 of the Factories Act 1946 and all the provisions of the Annual Holidays Act 1944 and the
Minimum Wage Act 1945.

governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby consents to an undivided
moiety in the land described in the First Schedule hereto, and
the land described in the Second and Third Schedules hereto,
being taken for the purposes of Part II of the Urban Renewal
and Housing Improvement Act 1945.\n

Governor-General has approved the appointment of
Temporary Commodore M. J. McDowell, RNZN, as Second
Naval Member and Deputy Chief of Naval Staff, with effect
from 18 March 1971 vice Commodore R. T. Hale, O.B.E.,
RNZN, who has been posted to Auckland.
