NOTE—Any person who intends to appear on the hearing of
the said petition must serve on or send by post to the above-
named, notice in writing of his intention so to do. The notice
must state the name, address, and description of the person,
or, if a firm, the name, address, and description of the firm,
and an address for service within 3 miles of the office of the
Supreme Court at Christchurch, must be signed by the person
or firm, or his or their solicitor (if any), and must be served,
or, if posted, must be sent by post in sufficient time to reach
the above-named petitioner’s address for service not later than
4 o’clock in the afternoon of Tuesday, the 13th day of July
1971.

TAURANGA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Electrical Extension Loan 1971, $300,000
PUBLIC notice is given that at a meeting of the Board held on
the 16th day of June 1971, the following resolution was passed:
That for the purpose of providing for the payment of
principal and interest and other charges in respect of the
Tauranga Electric Power Board Electrical Extension Loan 1971
of $300,000, authorised to be raised by special order under the
Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of extend-
ing reticulation for supplying and distributing electrical energy
throughout the Board’s district, the Board hereby makes a
special rate of decimal nought six of a cent (.06c) in the dollar
on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value)
of all rateable property in the Tauranga Electric Power
District, and that such special rate shall be payable on the 1st
day of July in each and every year during the currency of
such loan being a period of twenty (20) years, or until such
loan is fully paid off.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Natural Gas Reticulation Loan No. 1, 1971, $145,670
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its
amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto
enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby
resolve as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of one hundred and forty-five thousand six hundred and
seventy dollars ($145,670) authorised to be raised by the
Palmerston North City Council, under the above-mentioned
Act for the purpose of replacing gas meters and renewing gas
mains and services, the said Palmerston North City Council
hereby makes a special rate of two hundred and twenty-two
ten-thousandths of a cent (0.0222c) in the dollar ($) upon
the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value)
of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North, and
that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of the loan instalment, being a period
of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy
of the resolution passed by the Palmerston North City Council
on the 28th day of June 1971.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Gas Appliance Conversion Loan 1971, $100,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its
amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto
enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby
resolve as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) authorised
to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council, under the
above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting additional
costs in providing for the use of natural gas, the said Palmers-
ton North City Council hereby makes a special rate of one
hundred and fifty-two ten-thousandths of a cent (0.0152c) in
the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the
unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of
Palmerston North, and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan instal-
ment, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy
of the resolution passed by the Palmerston North City Council
on the 28th day of June 1971.

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans
Act 1956, the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves as
follows:
“That, pursuant to the provisions of the Local Authorities
Loans Act 1956 the New Plymouth City Council hereby
resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of one hundred and thirty-six thousand five hundred
dollars ($136,500) to be known as the Natural Gas Reticula-
tion Loan 1971. And for the purpose of providing the annual
charges on a loan of thirteen thousand five hundred dollars
($13,500) to be known as the Natural Gas Reticulation Loan
No. 2, 1971, authorised to be raised by the New Plymouth
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of meeting part of the cost of providing for the use of
natural gas, the New Plymouth City Council hereby makes a
special rate of nought decimal nought three eight cents
(0.038c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (on the
basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
within the City of New Plymouth, and that the said special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of the loan and be payable half yearly on the 1st day of
April and the 1st day of October in each and every year
during the currency of the loans, being a period of twenty-
five (25) years, or until the loans are fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the New
Plymouth City Council held on the 21st day of June 1971.

WAIROA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Reticulation Loan 1971, $30,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Wairoa Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That for the purpose of providing annual charges on a
loan of $30,000, authorised to be raised by the Wairoa
Electric Power Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of providing further reticulation in the Board’s
district, the said Wairoa Electric Power Board hereby makes
a special rate of point nought one two (.012) cents in the
dollar on the capital value of all rateable property in the
Wairoa Electric Power Board District, and that the special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of the loan, and be payable on the 1st day of August in every
year during the currency of the loan being a period of 20
years, or until the loan is paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed
at a meeting of the Wairoa Electric Power Board held on the
21st day of June 1971.

INGLEWOOD COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Ingle-
wood County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of $100,000 authorised to be raised by the Inglewood
County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for advancing
monies to farmers under the provisions of the Rural Housing
Act 1939, the said Inglewood County Council hereby makes a
special rate of decimal one seven five cents (.175c) in the
dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property of the whole of the County of
Inglewood, and that the special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable
half yearly on the 30th day of June and the 31st day of
December in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan
is fully paid off.”
