ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, County of Akaroa, containing 13,900 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the mean high-water mark of the sea in line with the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 22707 in Block XI, Akaroa Survey District, and proceeding north-easterly generally to and along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of the said Rural Section 22707, the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 22755, the south-western, north-western, and north-eastern boundaries of Rural Section 23314, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Maginnes Road; thence north-easterly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Rural Section 4547; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary to the westernmost corner of Rural Section 4547; thence northerly along a right line to Trig Station C (Bossu) in Block VII, Akaroa Survey District; thence northerly generally along the summit of the range passing through Trig. Stations H (Carews Peak), P (Saddle Hill), and U (French Hill) to the south-eastern side of Christchurch-Akaroa Road (No. 75 State Highway) in Block XIV, Pigeon Bay Survey District; thence south-westerly generally along that south-eastern side to a right line bearing 148° 39' from the southernmost corner of Reserve 1259; thence north-westerly along that right line to the said corner; thence northerly along the western boundary of Reserve 1259 and its production to the northern side of the road known as Harmans Track; thence easterly generally along the northern sides of that road and the Christchurch-Akaroa Road (No. 75 State Highway) to the southernmost corner of the part Rural Section 13509 comprised in C.T. 316/106; thence south-easterly along a right line to the point midway between the north-eastern corner of Rural Section 13510 and the westernmost corner of Rural Section 14417, the said point being on the middle of the last-mentioned road; thence south-easterly generally along the middle of that road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 8063; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary to the north-eastern corner of the said Rural Section 8063; thence due east to the mean high-water mark of the sea, in Barrys Bay; thence southerly and westerly generally along that high-water mark, to the point of commencement.
DUVAUCHELLE RIDING
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, County of Akaroa, containing 11,000 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the mean high-water mark of the sea in Barrys Bay in Block XIV, Pigeon Bay Survey District, due east of the north-eastern corner of Rural Section 8063 and proceeding due west to that corner; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of the said Rural Section 8063 and its production to the middle of Christchurch-Akaroa Road (No. 75 State Highway); thence north-westerly generally along the middle of that road to a point midway between the north-eastern corner of Rural Section 13510 and the westernmost corner of the part Rural Section 13509 comprised in C.T. 316/106; thence north-easterly along the northern side of the Summit Road to the north-western boundary of Rural Section 18831; thence north-easterly along that boundary and the north-western boundaries of Rural Sections 17758, 35374, and 25399 and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Summit Road; thence north-easterly and south-easterly generally along the middle of the original Summit Road, passing along the middle of the now closed portions known as Rural Sections 13890x, 14042x, and 11476x to a point in line with the middle of the road forming the generally north-western boundary of Rural Section 23462 in Block I, Goughs Survey District; thence westerly generally to and along the middle of that road to and along the middle of the road forming the north-western boundary of Rural Section 4121 and passing through Rural Section 1922 to the middle of the road forming the north-western boundary of Rural Section 2151; thence westerly along the middle of that road and Takamatua Valley Road and its production to the mean high-water mark of the sea in Takamatua Bay; thence northerly and westerly generally along the mean high-water mark of the sea to the point of commencement.

Approval of Revolving Amber Lights for Certain Vehicles
PURSUANT to regulation 39 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- The Secretary for Transport hereby approves the fitting of one revolving yellow or amber light on any motor vehicle owned or operated by the New Zealand Electricity Department, or any Electrical Supply Authority, subject to the following conditions:
(i) The vehicle shall be painted a conspicuous colour.
(ii) The light shall be used only at the site of a traffic hazard such as pole erection, or broken electricity transmission lines.
(iii) Suitable and adequate warning signs shall be erected as soon as possible after the occurrence of the hazard. - The notice under regulation 39 of the Traffic Regulations 1956 dated the 31st day of October 1968† and so much of the notice under regulation 39 of the Traffic Regulations 1956 dated the 3rd day of July 1967‡ as relates to an Electrical Supply Authority, is hereby revoked.
