with the north-eastern boundary of Allotment E. 64 in Block
V, Waitakere Survey District; thence south-easterly along a
right line to and along that boundary, to and south-westerly
along the south-eastern boundary of Allotment E. 64, and con-
tinuing along the north-western boundaries of Allotments 105,
104, 108, and 103, to and north-westerly along the south-
western boundary of Allotment 57, shown on D.P. 3258, to
the north-western boundary of that allotment, all the aforesaid
allotments being of Karangahape Parish; thence south-westerly
along the production of the aforesaid north-western boundary
to the middle of Pararaha Stream; thence westerly generally
down the middle of that stream to the sea coast of the Tasman
Sea, in Block VII, Waitakere Survey District; thence northerly
generally along the boundary of the Waitemata County as
described in New Zealand Gazette, 1969, page 2079, to the
point of commencement.

KAUKAPAKAPA RIDING
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Waite-
mata County, bounded by a line commencing in Block I,
Kumeu Survey District, at the intersection of the sea coast of
the Tasman Sea and the production south-westerly of a right
line between the northernmost corner of an area of 6 acres 3
roods 39 perches, shown coloured blue, on S.O. Plan 27511
(now part of Section 3, Block II, Kumeu Survey District), and
the south-western corner of that Section 3, and proceeding
north-westerly, easterly generally, and then southerly along the
boundary of the Waitemata County as described in New
Zealand Gazette, 1969, page 2079, to the intersection in Block
I, Waiwera Survey District, of the Waitemata County boundary
aforesaid, with the middle of the Newmarket-Opua Railway;
thence south-westerly generally along the middle of that rail-
way to the intersection in Block VII, Kaipara Survey District,
with the middle of the public road forming the south-western
boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 26137; thence south-easterly generally
along the middle of that road, to and along the middle of the
public road forming the eastern boundary of Allotment 93,
Makarau Parish, to and along the middle of the public road
intersecting Allotment 86, Kaukapakapa Parish, to and easterly
generally along the middle of the public road forming the
generally southern boundaries of Allotments 85, 84, 83, and
69, to and southerly along the middle of the public road
forming the western boundary of Allotment 74 and the last-
mentioned middle line produced to the northern boundary of
Allotment E. 25; thence westerly and southerly along the
northern and western boundaries of that Allotment E. 25, to
and south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of an
area of 62 acres being part Allotments W. 25 and 24, as shown
on D.P. 1965, and the last boundary produced to the middle of
Stoney Creek Road in Block IX, Waiwera Survey District;
thence south-easterly along the middle of that road, to and
southerly along the middle of the public road forming the
western boundaries of Allotments 52, 57, 58, 63, 67, and 66,
all the aforesaid allotments being of Kaukapakapa Parish, and
the last middle line produced, to and down the middle of the
Waitoki Stream, to and easterly generally up the middle of the
Waipapakara Stream to the middle of Waitoki-Wainui Road;
thence southerly generally along the middle of that road, to
and along the middle of Kahikatea Flat Road, to and along
the middle of Forestry Road, to and along the middle of
Ireland Road to the intersection, in Block XIII, Waiwera
Survey District, of the last middle line with the middle of
Bald Hill Road; thence south-westerly generally along the
north-western boundary of Kumeu Riding, hereinbefore
described, to the point of commencement.
SCHEDULE 10
GLENFIELD RIDING
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Waite-
mata County, bounded by a line commencing at a point on
the right bank of Hellyers Creek in Block VII, Waitemata
Survey District, due south of the southernmost corner of Lot
26, D.P. 2093, and proceeding due north to and north-westerly
along the south-western boundaries of that Lot 26 to the junc-
tion with the westerly production of a right line parallel to and
250 links distant from the northern side of Glendhu Road;
thence north-easterly generally along a series of right lines
parallel to and 250 links distant from the generally north-
western sides of Glendhu and Sunset Roads to the intersection
in Block VIII, Waitemata Survey District, with the eastern
boundary of the Waitemata County, as described in New
Zealand Gazette, 1969, page 2079; thence southerly, westerly,
and then northerly generally along the said Waitemata County
boundary and continuing along the right bank of Hellyers
Creek, to the point of commencement.

Special Order Made by Akaroa County Council Altering
Riding Boundaries
PURSUANT to section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, the Secretary
for Internal Affairs hereby publishes the following Special
Order made by Akaroa County Council.

SPECIAL ORDER
Moved by Cr D. W. Macphail.
Seconded by Cr James Boleyn.
THAT the Council proceed by way of Special Order in terms
of sections 23 and 88 of the Counties Act 1956, to divide the
present Harbour Riding of the Akaroa County into three
smaller ridings, the proposed boundaries and names of which
are shown on the certified plan and description prepared by
the Chief Surveyor, Lands and Survey Department, and
attached hereto.
The purpose of the division is merely to ensure a more
equitable spread of the three representatives for the Harbour
Riding area, and to avoid the present situation where the
representatives are concentrated in the one area.
The resolution to be submitted for confirmation at the
ordinary meeting of the Council on Friday, 25 June 1971, at
9.30 a.m.

Seconded by Cr A. R. Waghorn.
THAT as all the necessary public notices have been given, and
other required steps taken, in connection with the above resolu-
tion, which was passed as a Special Order at a special meeting
of the Akaroa County Council, held on the 28th day of May
1971.
That the resolution be now confirmed at this ordinary
monthly meeting of the said Council held on the 25th day of
June 1971.

TAKAMATUA RIDING
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, County of
Akaroa, containing 15,600 acres, more or less, bounded by a
line commencing at a point on the mean high-water mark of
the sea in Takamatua Bay, in Block IV, Akaroa Survey,
District, in line with the middle of Takamatua Valley Road
and proceeding easterly to and along the middle of that road
and the middle of the road forming the north-western
boundary of Rural Section 2151, to a point in line with the
middle of the road passing through Rural Section 1922; thence
northerly and easterly generally to and along the middle of
that road and the middle of the road forming the northern
boundary of Rural Section 5326 and its production, to the
middle of the Summit Road; thence southerly generally along
the middle of the Summit Road and Purple Peak Road to a
point in line with the northern boundary of Rural Section
14559; thence westerly and southerly to and along the northern
and western boundaries of that section and the production of
the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Purple Peak
Road; thence south-westerly along the middle of that road to
a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Rural
Section 21677; thence south-easterly to and along that
boundary and its production to the middle of the road form-
ing the north-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 6152; thence
south-westerly along the middle of that road to a point in line
with the south-western boundary of the said Lot 2; thence
south-easterly to and along that boundary and the south-
western boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 6152, and the production
of the last-mentioned boundary to the mean high-water mark
of the sea, in Stony Bay; thence south-westerly and northerly
generally along that mean high-water mark to the Akaroa
Riding boundary, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1959,
page 1436, near Green Point, in Block VIII, Akaroa Survey
