Licensing Winstone Ltd. to Occupy a Site for a Revetment and
Jetty in Waikato River at Mercer

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine
hereby licenses and permits Winstone Ltd. (hereinafter called
the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns
unless the context requires a different construction), to use
and occupy a part of the bed of the Waikato River at Mercer
as shown on plans marked M.D. 10127, M.D. 10241, and M.D.
14123 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at
Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a revet-
ment and jetty as shown on the said plans, such licence to be
held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the
terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS
(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960 and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far
as applicable, apply hereto.

(2) The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st
day of June 1971.

(3) The premium payable by the licensee shall be sixteen
dollars ($16) and the annual sum so payable by the licensee
shall be twenty dollars ($20).

Maori Oyster Fisheryโ€”Kaipara Harbour

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Fisheries Amendment Act 1965,
the Minister of Marine and Fisheries, acting on the recom-
mendation of the committee in control of the fishery, hereby
declares that no oysters shall be taken from the Maori oyster
fishery prescribed by subparagraphs (iii) and (iv) of para-
graph (d) of regulation 30 of the Oyster Fishing Regulations
1946 (S.R. 1966/177), during the period commencing on 1
July 1971 and ending on 30 June 1972.

Special Order Made by Waitemata County Council Altering
Riding Boundaries

PURSUANT to section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, the Secretary
for Internal Affairs hereby publishes the following Special
Order made by the Waitemata County Council.

SPECIAL ORDER

In exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 23 of
the Counties Act 1956, the Waitemata County Council hereby,
by Special Order, resolves thatโ€”

  1. The number of ridings within the County be increased
    to 10.

  2. The Waikumete Riding shall be abolished.

  3. An area of the Kaukapakapa Riding together with an area
    of the Whangaparaoa Riding shall be constituted as a new
    riding to be named the Albany Riding, the boundaries of the
    said Albany Riding shall be as described in Schedule 1 hereto.

  4. An area of the Kaukapakapa Riding shall be included
    within the Whangaparaoa Riding, and the boundaries of the
    said Whangaparaoa Riding shall be as described in Schedule
    2 hereto.

  5. That area of the Kaukapakapa Riding described in
    Schedule 3 hereto shall be constituted as a new riding to be
    named the Wainui Riding.

  6. An area of the Waitakere Riding together with an area of
    the Kaukapakapa Riding, the whole being described in
    Schedule 4 hereto, shall be constituted as a new riding to be
    named the Kumeu Riding.

  7. That area of the Waitakere Riding described in Schedule
    5 hereto shall be constituted as a new riding to be named
    the Lincoln Riding.

  8. An area of the former Waikumete Riding shall be included
    within the Titirangi Riding, and the boundaries of the said
    Titirangi Riding shall be as described in Schedule 6 hereto.

  9. An area of the former Waikumete Riding shall be included
    within the Te Atatu Riding, and the boundaries of the said Te
    Atatu Riding shall be as described in Schedule 7 hereto.

  10. An area of the former Waikumete Riding shall be
    included within the Waitakere Riding, and the boundaries of
    the said Waitakere Riding shall be as described in Schedule 8
    hereto.

  11. The amended boundaries of the Kaukapakapa Riding
    shall be as described in Schedule 9 hereto.

  12. The boundaries of the Glenfield Riding shall remain as at
    present.

  13. This Special Order shall take effect on the 31st day of
    August 1971 provided, however, for all financial purposes, it
    shall take effect on the 1st day of April 1972.

SCHEDULE 1
ALBANY RIDING
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Waitemata
County, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block
VI, Waitemata Survey District, on the left bank of the Pare-
moremo Creek in line with the easternmost boundary of Allot-
ment 7, Paremremo Parish, and proceeding northerly along a
right line across the aforesaid creek, to and along that eastern
boundary, to and north-westerly and northerly along the
middle of Brookdale Road, to and north-easterly along the
middle of Ridge Road, to and northerly along the middle of
O'Brien Road, to and north-easterly along the middle of State
Highway No. 18, to and south-easterly along the middle of
State Highway No. 1, and easterly generally along the middle
of Lonely Track Road to the junction with the middle of
East Coast Road in Block IV, Waitemata Survey District;
thence north-westerly generally along the middle of that road
to the intersection with the right bank of the Okura River in
Block XV, Waiwera Survey District; thence north-easterly
along that right bank and continuing north-easterly, southerly,
westerly, and again southerly along the boundary of the
Waitemata County as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1969,
page 2079, to and south-westerly along the northern boundary
of Glenfield Riding, hereinafter described, to the right bank of
Hellyers Creek, in Block VII, Waitemata Survey District;
thence westerly generally along that right bank and continuing
westerly and northerly generally along the boundary of the
Waitemata County, aforesaid, and continuing along the left
bank of the Paremremo Creek, to the point of commence-
ment.

SCHEDULE 2
HIBISCUS COAST RIDING
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Waite-
mata County, bounded by a line commencing at the junction
of the middle of the Waiwera River and the sea coast of the
Hauraki Gulf, in Block IV, Waiwera Survey District, and pro-
ceeding southerly, easterly, westerly, and again southerly along
the boundary of the Waitemata County as described in New
Zealand Gazette, 1969, page 2079, and continuing along the
left bank of the Okura River to the intersection with the
middle of East Coast Road in Block XV, Waiwera Survey
District; thence north-westerly and northerly generally along
the boundary of Wainui Riding, hereinafter described, to the
middle of the Waiwera River; thence easterly, generally, down
the middle of the Waiwera River, to the point of commence-
ment.

SCHEDULE 3
WAINUI RIDING
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Waite-
mata County, bounded by a line commencing in Block I,
Waiwera Survey District, at the intersection of the middle of
the Newmarket-Opua Railway with the boundary of the Waite-
mata County as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1969, page
2079, and proceeding southerly and easterly along the
boundary of the Waitemata County, aforesaid, to a point in the
