Zealand Gazette, 1968, page 1715, and proceeding northerly
and easterly along the eastern boundaries of the said Lot 4,
Lots 3 and 2, D.P. 2705, and the production of the last-men-
tioned boundary to and along the northern boundary of Lot
1, D.P. 2705, to the easternmost corner of that Lot; thence
southerly generally along the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P.
2705, to the southernmost corner of that Lot, along a right
line across part of Lot 8, D.P. 2705, to and along the north-
eastern boundaries of Lots 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16,
D.P. 2705, to the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned
lot, along a right line across part of Lot 17, D.P. 2705, to and
along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 18, D.P. 2705, and
the production of that boundary to its intersection with a
right line from the easternmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 4457,
and parallel to the eastern side of Murdoch Street, along that
right line to and along the eastern boundaries of the said Lot
1 and part Lot 2, D.P. 4457, Lot 3, D.P. 4966, and Lot 3,
D.P. 4457, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary
across Wainui Road (State Highway 35), to its south-western
side; thence north-westerly along the south-western side of
Wainui Road to the northernmost corner of part Kaiti 336A
Block which block is part of the land taken for rifle range by
New Zealand Gazette, 1946, page 455; thence south-westerly
along the north-western boundary of the said Kaiti 336A
Block for distances of 2325.5 and 1092 links, along a line
bearing 252° 11' for 1102.5 links to the north-western boun-
dary of part Kaiti 336D 2A Block, which boundary together
with those immediately beforementioned comprise the north-
western boundary of rifle range land, along the said north-
western boundary of part Kaiti 336D 2A Block and its pro-
duction across a public road to the sea coast; thence northerly
along the sea coast to a point in line with the north-western
boundary of Kaiti 322 Block, being also a point on the boun-
dary of the City of Gisborne aforementioned; thence northerly
and easterly generally along that boundary to the point of
commencement.

Ninthly, all that area in the Gisborne Land District, County
of Cook, Pouawa Riding, containing 17 acres and 16 perches,
more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the inter-
section of the south-western boundary of Lot 10 and the north-
western boundary of Lot 17, D.P. 1174, and proceeding
easterly generally along lines parallel to and distant 625.7 links
north-westerly from the north-western side of Dryden Street
to the intersection with the production of the south-western
boundary of Lot 19, D.P. 1174, along that production to and
along the western boundary of part Lot 15, D.P. 395, to the
north-western side of Dryden Street, along that roadside to
and along the south-western boundary of Lot 19, D.P. 1174,
to the middle of the abutment of Dryden Street; thence westerly
generally along the middle of Dryden Street to a point in line
with the western boundary of Lot 17, D.P. 1174, to and along
the last-mentioned boundary to the point of commencement.

The Whisky Gully Stream Pollution Control Order 1971

At the Government House at Wellington this 21st day of

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 61 of the Health Act 1956, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following
order.

O R D E R

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Whisky Gully Stream
    Pollution Control Order 1971.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the
    date of publication in the Gazette.

  2. All those portions of the Whisky Gully Stream and its
    tributaries which are within the boundaries of the land
    described in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be
    under the control of the Tapanui Borough Council for the
    purpose of preventing the pollution of those portions of that
    stream and its tributaries.

SCHEDULE
ALL that land in the Otago Land District and the County of
Tuapeka, containing 3 square miles approximately, and being
that portion of the watershed of the Whisky Gully Stream and
its tributaries from its source in the Tapanui Mountains to
the existing intake of the supply of water to the Borough of
Tapanui, as is more particularly delineated on a plan held
in the Head Office of the Department of Health and numbered
124/17/15, and thereon edged in red.

Consenting to the Use in New Zealand of the Word “Bank”
by the Bank of Tokyo Ltd.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Police Offences Act 1927 (as amended by
section 57 of the Statutes Amendment Act 1939), His Excel-
lency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the
use of the word “Bank” in the name of a representative office
in New Zealand of the Bank of Tokyo Ltd., Tokyo, Japan, to
be established when the Minister of Finance has consented
to the establishment of that office pursuant to the Capital
Issues (Overseas) Regulations 1965*, and the said office of
that bank has been registered in New Zealand pursuant to
Part XII of the Companies Act 1955.

Conferring Jurisdiction on the Maori Land Court

PURSUANT to section 31 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby confers
on the Maori Land Court jurisdiction to hear and determine
as between Maoris, any claims to the ownership or possession
of the wood carvings formerly stored at the Waioeka Pa, near
Opotiki, and being part of a former meeting house known as
Tanewhirinaki.

advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes
the following order.

O R D E R

  1. This order shall come into force on the 1st day of July

  2. The areas described in the Schedule hereto shall be
    excluded from the County of Tauranga and included in the
    City of Tauranga.
