Council oxidation ponds, the said Waitemata County Council hereby makes a special rate of 1.22 on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the Parakai area and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of an extract from the minutes passed by the Waitemata County Council on 27 May 1971.

FEILDING BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Footpath Loan 1971, $40,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Feilding Borough Council hereby resolves as follows—
That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of $40,000 authorised to be raised by the Feilding Borough Council, under the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purposes of providing new footpaths and renovating old footpaths in the Borough, the said Feilding Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nine one nine cents in the dollar (.091c in $) upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Feilding and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Feilding Borough Council held on 10 June 1971.

HUNTLY BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Municipal Offices and Council Chambers Additional Loan 1971, $20,000—Issue of $10,000
THAT pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Huntly Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of $10,000 authorised to be raised by the Huntly Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the purpose for which the Municipal Offices and Council Chambers Loan 1970, $20,000 was sanctioned, the said Huntly Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought four cents in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Huntly, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Huntly Borough Council held on the 8th day of June 1971.

FREEMAN’S BAY REDEVELOPMENT LOAN 1971
“THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows—
‘That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of one million one hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($1,150,000) to be known as the Freeman’s Bay Redevelopment Loan 1971, $1,150,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of purchasing or acquiring land in Freeman’s Bay reclamation area or in any area adjacent to that area, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of point two three six eight
(.2368) of 1c in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property (of Auckland City) comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, or until the loan is fully paid off’.”

IN the matter of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives relating to Private Bills: and in the matter of a Private Bill intituled “An Act to Amend the Methodist Charitable and Educational Trust Act 1911”.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO APPLY FOR LEAVE TO BRING IN A BILL
I, George Cowie Brian Minogue, of Auckland, General Secretary of the Board of the Wesley Training College, hereby give notice of my intention to apply for leave to bring in the above Bill before the House of Representatives as a Private Bill.
- The objects of the Bill are to amend the Methodist Charitable and Educational Trusts Act 1911 to the extent that:
(a) The annual date for the making up of the accounts of the Board of the Wesley Training College and the compiling of its reports be altered to require the same to be made and compiled as at 31st day of January in each year and to be presented at a meeting of the Board to be held within 3 months after the 31st day of January in each year.
(b) The powers of sale in respect of land held by the Board of the Wesley Training College be extended to sale, with the prior sanction of the Conference of the Methodist Church in New Zealand of all or any part or parts thereof in such manner and in such terms as the Board of the Wesley Training College thinks fit.
(c) The powers of investment of the trust funds of the Board of the Wesley Training College be extended to:
(i) A power of investment in any of the modes of investment authorised by Part II of the Trustee Act 1956,
(ii) Subject to certain restrictions on first mortgage of a lessee’s interest under a lease,
(iii) Subject to specified restrictions and conditions in the securities of certain classes of companies officially listed on Stock Exchanges affiliated to the Stock Exchange Association of New Zealand,
(iv) On deposit with certain specified organisations.

The promoter of the Bill is George Cowie Brian Minogue, of Auckland, General Secretary of the Board of the Wesley Training College, on behalf of the said Board of the Wesley Training College.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Southland County Council proposes in pursuance of the Public Works Act 1928 to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road. Plans of the land proposed to be taken are deposited in the office of the Southland County Council, Forth Street, Invercargill, and are open for public inspection without fee during ordinary office hours.
All persons having any objection to the proposed taking of land must state their objection in writing and send the same to the Southland County Council, P.O. Box 903, Invercargill, within 40 days of the 10th day of June 1971, being the date of the first publication of this notice. If any such objection shall be made, a public hearing will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and and place of the hearing.
