PURSUANT to section 22 of the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, the Strath Taieri Pest Destruction Board hereby gives notice that the Strath Taieri Pest Destruction District which was constituted by Order in Council on the 27th day of August 1960* is hereby subdivided into wards, the names and boundaries of which are specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF MIDDLEMARCH WARD

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, County of Taieri, containing 18,600 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the south-east boundary of Section 9, Block V, Sutton Survey District, in line with the northern boundary of Section 2, Block V, aforesaid, and proceeding north-easterly along the south-eastern boundaries of Section 9, aforesaid, and Run 599 to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 2 of 3S, Gladbrook Settlement; thence easterly, north-easterly, again easterly and north-easterly to and along the southern and south-eastern boundaries of Section 2 of 3S, aforesaid, to its north-eastern corner; thence westerly along the northern boundary of Section 2 of 3S, aforesaid, and its production to the north-western side of Lammermoor Road; thence north-easterly along that side of Lammermoor Road and north-westerly and north-easterly along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Run 596 to the southernmost corner of Lot 3, D.P. 5457; thence generally north-easterly along the generally south-eastern boundary of Lot 3, aforesaid, and north-easterly along the north-western side of McKinnon Road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 53, Block V, Strath Taieri Survey District; thence south-easterly and northerly to and along the south-western and eastern boundaries of Section 53, aforesaid, and northerly and westerly along the eastern and northern boundaries of Section 14, Block V, aforesaid, to its north-western corner; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of Sections 13, 12, and 11, Block V, aforesaid, and Sections 17, 21, and 11, Block II, Strath Taieri Survey District and easterly along the northern boundary of Section 11, aforesaid, and its production to the south-eastern side of the Otago Central Railway; thence north-easterly along that side of that railway to the south-western boundary of Section 18, Block II, aforesaid; thence south-easterly along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Taieri River; thence generally south-westerly down the middle of the Taieri River to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 15, Block XIII, Sutton Survey District; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary and westerly along the northern boundary of Section 15, aforesaid, and its production to the north-western side of State Highway No. 85; thence westerly along the northern boundary of Section 14, Block XIII, aforesaid, and northerly along the eastern boundaries of Sections 14 and 10, Block XIII, aforesaid, to the southern side of Kidds Road, thence westerly along that side of Kidds Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 1, Block XIII, aforesaid; thence northerly to and along that boundary and westerly along the northern boundaries of Section 1, aforesaid, and Sections 13 and 14, Block V, Sutton Survey District to the south-eastern corner of Sections 2, Block V, aforesaid; thence northerly and westerly along the eastern and northern boundaries of Section 2 aforesaid, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the point of commencement.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Counties of Maniototo and Taieri, containing 69,400 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the confluence of Sutton Stream and the Taieri River, Block III, Sutton Survey District, and proceeding generally westerly up the middle of Sutton Stream, generally north-westerly up the middle of Burgan Stream and generally north-westerly along the generally north-eastern boundary of Run 734 to the middle of the Logan Burn; thence generally northerly down the middle of the Logan Burn to a point in line with the northern boundary of Run 599; thence generally north-easterly along the generally north-western boundaries of Runs 599, 598, 597, and 596, Lots 3, 2, and 1, D.P. 5457 and Runs 783, 782, 714, and 713 to the northernmost corner of Run 713; thence generally south-easterly, south-westerly, and again south-easterly along the north-eastern, south-eastern, and north-eastern boundaries of Run 713 and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Taieri River; thence generally south-westerly down the middle of the Taieri River to a point in line with south-western boundary of Section 18, Block II, Strath Taieri Survey District; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary to and south-westerly along the south-eastern side of the Otago Central Railway to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 11, Block II, aforesaid, thence westerly to and along that boundary and south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of Sections 11, 21, and 17, Block II, aforesaid, and Sections 11, 12, and 13, Block V, Strath Taieri Survey District to the south-western corner of Section 13, aforesaid; thence easterly and southerly along the northern and eastern boundaries of Section 14, Block V, aforesaid, and southerly and north-westerly along the eastern and south-western boundaries of Section 53, Block V, aforesaid, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the north-western side of McKinnon Road; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of McKinnon Road and generally south-westerly along the generally south-eastern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 5457, to its southernmost corner; thence south-westerly and south-easterly along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Run 596 to the north-western side of Lammermoor Road; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of Lammermoor Road to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 2 of 3S, Gladbrook Settlement; thence easterly, to and along that boundary and south-westerly, westerly, again south-westerly and westerly along the south-eastern and southern boundaries of Section 2 of 3S, aforesaid, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the south-eastern boundary of Run 599; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of Run 599 and Section 9, Block V, Sutton Survey District, to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 2, Block V, aforesaid; thence easterly to and along that boundary and southerly along the eastern boundary of Section 2, aforesaid, to its south-eastern corner; thence easterly along the northern boundaries of Sections 14 and 13, Block V, aforesaid, and easterly and southerly along the northern and eastern boundaries of Section 1, Block XIII, Sutton Survey District, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the southern side of Kidds Road; thence easterly along that side of Kidds Road to the north-eastern corner of Section 10, Block XIII, aforesaid; thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of Sections 10 and 14, Block XIII, aforesaid, and easterly along the northern boundary of Section 14, aforesaid, to the north-western side of State Highway No. 87; thence easterly to and along the northern boundary of Section 15, Block XIII, aforesaid, and south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of that Section 15 and its productions to the middle of the Taieri River; thence generally southerly down the middle of the Taieri River to the point of commencement.

BOUNDARIES OF SOUTHERN WARD

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Counties of Maniototo and Taieri, containing 124,100 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the confluence of Deep Stream and the Taieri River in Block XI, Nenthorn Survey District and proceeding generally westerly, south-westerly, and north-westerly up the middle of Deep Stream and north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Run 734 and its production to the middle of the Taieri River; thence generally north-easterly up the middle of the Taieri River to a point in line with the south-eastern side of a public road forming the south-eastern boundary of Run 254D, Block VII, Serpentine Survey District; thence generally easterly to and along the generally northern boundary of Run 734, generally south-easterly down the middle of Burgan Stream, generally easterly down the middle of Sutton Stream and generally south-easterly down the middle of the Taieri River to the point of commencement.
