HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE
Heretaunga-Pinehaven Roading Improvement Loan 1971, $120,000
I certify that the Hutt County Council passed the following resolution at its meeting on 15 April 1971:
"PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $120,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing road upgrading, kerbing, and channelling in the Heretaunga Riding of the County of Hutt, the Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal two two eight (.228) cents in the dollar upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Heretaunga Riding of the County of Hutt, and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on 1 April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

WAITEMATA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Renewal Loan (1971), $260,000
THAT, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and amendments and regulations made thereunder respectively, and all other powers it enabling, the Board hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing half-yearly instalments of interest and principal and other charges on a loan of $260,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitemata Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned enactments, in order to provide moneys for the purpose of providing funds to meet on 1 October 1971 the balance of the Administration Building Loan (1959) $400,000, Second Issue $100,000, and on 20 June 1971 and 8 December 1971 the balances of the Reticulation Extension and Reinforcement Loan (1960) $1,000,000, Second Issue of $400,000 and final issue of $210,000, the Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.009 cents in the dollar upon the rateable value (being the capital value) of all the rateable property within the whole of the Waitemata electric power district as defined in the Proclamation appearing in the New Zealand Gazette, dated 18 October 1923, and amended by Proclamations appearing in the New Zealand Gazettes, dated 27 November 1924, 26 August 1926, 7 March 1929, 24 January 1935, 14 April 1954, and by section 44 of the Local Legislation Act 1961; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan (being a period of 10 years), or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was carried at a meeting of the Waitemata Electric Power Board held on 25 May 1971.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan No. 13, 1971—$100,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $100,000 authorised to be raised by the Raglan County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Raglan County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought seven seven six of a cent (.0776c) in the dollar ($) upon the unimproved value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the County of Raglan, and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be paid yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is paid off."

WAITOMO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
General Extension Loan 1971 of $100,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waitomo Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $100,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitomo Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of extending the Board’s electrical system, the said Waitomo Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of forty-nine thousandths of a cent (0.049c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Waitomo electric power district, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO APPLY FOR LEAVE TO BRING IN A BILL
I, George Cowie Brian Minogue, of Auckland, General Secretary of the Board of the Wesley Training College, hereby give notice of my intention to apply for leave to bring in the above Bill before the House of Representatives as a Private Bill.

  1. The objects of the Bill are to amend the Methodist Charitable and Educational Trusts Act 1911 to the extent that:
    (a) The annual date for the making up of the accounts of the Board of the Wesley Training College and the compiling of its reports be altered to require the same to be made and compiled as at 31st day of January in each year and to be presented at a meeting of the Board to be held within 3 months after the 31st day of January in each year.
    (b) The powers of sale in respect of land held by the Board of the Wesley Training College be extended to sale, with the prior sanction of the Conference of the Methodist Church in New Zealand of all or any part or parts thereof in such manner and in such terms as the Board of the Wesley Training College thinks fit.
    (c) The powers of investment of the trust funds of the Board of the Wesley Training College be extended to:
    (i) A power of investment in any of the modes of investment authorised by Part II of the Trustee Act 1956,
    (ii) Subject to certain restrictions on first mortgage of a lessee’s interest under a lease,
    (iii) Subject to specified restrictions and conditions in the securities of certain classes of companies officially listed on Stock Exchanges affiliated to the Stock Exchange Association of New Zealand.
    (iv) On deposit with certain specified organisations.
  2. The promoter of the Bill is George Cowie Brian Minogue, of Auckland, General Secretary of the Board of the Wesley Training College, on behalf of the said Board of the Wesley Training College.
  3. The address for communications or notices to the promoter is at the offices of Messrs Leonard, Knight, and Co., Chartered Accountants, Shell House, corner Wyndham and Albert Streets, P.O. Box 313, Auckland 1.
  4. The address for inspection of the Bill is at the offices of Messrs Leonard, Knight, and Co., Chartered Accountants, Shell House, corner Wyndham and Albert Streets, Auckland 1.
