Amending and Assigning Foreshore Licence for Wharf and Shed, Whangawehi Stream
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine and Fisheries hereby gives notice that the licence of 4 October 1963, authorising Rex Keith Mawson to use and occupy part of the foreshore and bed of the Whangawehi Stream at Mahia as a site for a wharf and shed as shown on plan M.D. 11574, is hereby amended by deleting the words “wharf and shed” and inserting the word “piles”, and deleting the expression “five pounds (£5)” and substituting the expression “six dollars ($6)”, and further, gives notice that the aforesaid licence is hereby assigned to Koroua Cotton, of Mahia.

Assignment of Foreshore Licence for Jetty and Shed at Taieri Mouth on the Taieri River
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Secretary for Marine hereby gives notice that the licence granted to Colin Desmond Ward on 9 November 1967 and assignment to David Ernest Shanks on 21 May 1970† to use and occupy part of the foreshore and bed of the river at Taieri Mouth as a site for a jetty and shed is hereby further assigned to Raymond Alister Bungard.

Animals Approved as Pets for Purposes of Zoological Gardens Regulations (Notice No. 23 Ag. 20094)
PURSUANT to regulation 2 of the Zoological Gardens Regulations 1969, notice is hereby given that the animals specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby approved as pets for the purpose of the said regulations.
SCHEDULE
ALL the wildlife specified in the Fifth Schedule of the Wildlife Act 1953 and including guinea pigs.

Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities
PURSUANT to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

Special Order Made by Thames County Council Altering Riding Boundaries
PURSUANT to section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby publishes the following Special Order made by the Thames County Council.

SPECIAL ORDER
IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by sections 23 and 35 of the Counties Act 1956, the Thames County Council resolves by way of special order as follows:

  1. The present division of the County of Thames into three ridings is revoked and in lieu thereof the said County shall be divided into four ridings to be called respectively Hastings Riding, Puriri Riding, Tairua Riding, and Whangamata Riding, which said ridings are respectively described in the Schedule hereto.
  2. The said Thames County Council shall consist of nine members who shall be elected as follows:
    (a) The electors of the Hastings Riding, the Puriri Riding and the Whangamata Riding shall each elect two Councillors.
    (b) The electors of the Tairua Riding shall elect three Councillors.
    Approval of Red Reflectors for Motor Vehicles (Other Than Heavy Goods Service Vehicles) in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1956
    PURSUANT to regulation 49 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1956, the Secretary for Transport hereby approves, for the purposes of regulation 41 (2) of the said regulations, red reflectors of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.
    SCHEDULE
    TAIL lamp assemblies incorporating reflex red reflectors having moulded on the outward face of each reflex lens either “Holden R 13” or “Holden R 13A”.
