Douglas E. Barry-Martin, as representing the Wellington District Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Architects, and
the person for the time being in office as Mayor of the City of Lower Hutt, as representing the local authorities, other than the Wellington City Council and the Wellington Harbour Board, empowered to contribute to the Board's funds.

Appointment of Members of the Lake Rotoiti Scenic Board

Pursuant to sections 18, 19, and 20 of the Maori Purposes Act 1931, and the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby appoints
Manu Whakaturia Morehu and Hauoyu Kenneth Eru
to be members of the Lake Rotoiti Scenic Board in place of Te Mapu o Te Rangi and Rotarangihoro Taiatini, deceased.

Defining the Limits of the Waverley Harbour Pilotage District
ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General
Pursuant to section 211 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby define the limits of the Waverley Harbour Pilotage District, within which pilots may act for the purposes of the aforesaid Act, to be that area described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
ALL the waters of the Tasman Sea bounded by the line of mean high-water spring tides and having as its seaward limit the arc of a circle of 3 nautical miles radius centred at 39° 49.63' S, 174° 36.56' E near the mouth of the Wairoa Stream.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 11th day of May 1971.

Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy
Pursuant to the Navy Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, and retirements of officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy:
Instructor Commander S. J. F. Hermans reverts to the Retired List, to date 21 April 1971.
Simeon Basil Shaw, RN (Retd), is appointed to the RNZN as Commander with seniority of 21 February 1960, for a period terminating 14 May 1974, to date 17 March 1971.
Derek John Henry Steele, RN (Retd), is appointed to the RNZN as Lieutenant Commander, with seniority of 16 January 1962 for a 5-year period terminating 18 March 1976, to date 18 March 1971.
Lieutenant Commander G. Bandy is transferred to the Retired List, to date 14 April 1971.
Lieutenant Commander D. P. Milton is transferred to the Retired List and is re-employed on the Active List for a period terminating 11 November 1973, to date 4 April 1971.
Temporary Lieutenant Commander F. J. Rolton reverts to the Retired List and is re-employed on the Active List for a period terminating 30 March 1973, to date 31 March 1971.
Instructor Lieutenant P. Turpie is promoted to the rank of Instructor Lieutenant Commander, to date 5 March 1971.
Lieutenant R. E. Brown is promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander, to date 1 April 1971.
Lieutenant N. C. G. Peach, appointment extended to 8 January 1974.
Instructor Lieutenant E. D. Glass is transferred to the Supplementary List in the rank of Lieutenant with seniority of 9 January 1967, for an 8-year period terminating 24 February 1979, to date 25 February 1971.
Lieutenant D. R. Reyburn is transferred to the Retired List, to date 18 April 1971.
Sub Lieutenant D. B. Herlihy is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant, to date 11 January 1971.
Sub Lieutenant C. F. George is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant, to date 8 September 1970.
Vincent James Harris is appointed to the RNZN as Sub Lieutenant with seniority of 25 February 1971, for a period terminating 10 February 1976, to date 25 February 1971.
