Permanent State Forest Land Set Apart as State Forest Park

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 63A (1) (a) of the Forests Act 1949, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the permanent State forest land described in the First Schedule hereto and further described in the Second Schedule hereto as a State forest park, to be known as Pirongia State Forest Park.
FIRST SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT--AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY
Raglan and Otorohanga Counties
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Counties of Raglan and Otorohanga, situated in Karioi, Alexandra, Pirongia, and Kawhia North Survey Districts, containing 28,958 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 18, Block XV, Karioi Survey District, and proceeding north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of Section 19, Block XV, aforesaid, and Sections 21 and 8, Block XI, Karioi Survey District, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary across a public road to and north-easterly along the northern boundary of Section 3, Block IX, Alexandra Survey District, to a point in line with the generally northern boundary of the northern portion of Section 3, Block IX, aforesaid; thence easterly to and along that boundary to the northern side of a public road; thence south-easterly along the production of the last-mentioned boundary to and along the eastern boundary of the southern portion of Section 3, Block IX, aforesaid, and the eastern boundaries of Sections 1 and 2, Block XIII, Alexandra Survey District, to the north-western corner of Section 4, Block XIII, aforesaid; thence easterly generally along the northern boundaries of Sections 4 and 5, Block XIII, Alexandra Survey District, Section 1, Block XIV, Alexandra Survey District, and the south-eastern boundary of Moerangi 1D to the easternmost corner of that Block; thence south-easterly generally along the north-eastern boundaries of part Moerangi 4 and part Pirongia West 3A to the westernmost corner of Allotment 358, Parish of Pirongia; thence north-easterly, south-easterly, and south-westerly along the north-western, north-eastern, and south-eastern boundaries of Allotment 358, aforesaid, to and along the south-western end of a public road to the northern corner of Mangauika B. 2, Section 2; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of Mangauika B. 2, Section 2, and Section 6, Block III, Pirongia Survey District, to the western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of Section 6, Block III, aforesaid, to the eastern boundary of Section 18, Block VII, Pirongia Survey District; thence southerly along that boundary to the north-eastern boundary of Section 3A, Block VII, Pirongia Survey District; thence north-westerly along that boundary and the north-eastern boundary of Section 7, Block VII, aforesaid, to the eastern boundary of part Kopua Block; thence southerly and westerly along the eastern and southern boundaries of that block to the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. S. 5709; thence southerly and westerly along the eastern and southern boundaries of that lot and along the southern boundary of Section 21, Block VI, Pirongia Survey District, to the eastern boundary of Section 4, Block VI, aforesaid; thence southerly and north-westerly along the eastern and south-western boundaries of Section 4, aforesaid, along a right line to and again along the south-western boundary of Section 4, aforesaid, to the south-eastern boundary of part Section 17, Block VI, Pirongia Survey District; thence south-westerly along that boundary to and along the northern and eastern boundaries of Section 19, Block VI, aforesaid, and the eastern boundary of Section 20, Block VI, aforesaid, to the southern corner of Section 25, Block VI, aforesaid; thence northerly along the eastern and northern boundaries of that section and the western boundary of part Section 17, Block VI, aforesaid, to and along the eastern side of Pirongia West No. 2 Road and the southern side of Pekanui Road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 16, Block VI, aforesaid; thence northerly generally to and along the south-eastern, eastern, and northern boundaries of Section 16, Block VI, aforesaid, to and along the eastern side of Pirongia West No. 1 Road to and along the south-western, south-eastern, and north-eastern boundaries of Section 1, Block VI, Pirongia Survey District, to and along the eastern side of Pirongia West No. 1 Road to and along the eastern boundary of Section 3, Block I, Pirongia Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence westerly along the northern boundary of Section 3, aforesaid, and the southern boundaries of Sections 5, 9, and 8, Block I, aforesaid, to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence northerly along the western boundaries of Sections 8 and 7, Block I, aforesaid, to and along the southern and western boundaries of Section 4, Block IV, Kawhia North Survey District, to and along the southern boundary of Section 17, Block XV, Karioi Survey District, to and along the southern and western boundaries of Section 8, Block XV, aforesaid, along a right line across the Makomako Stream to and northerly generally along the generally north-western boundaries of Sections 14 and 3, Block XV, aforesaid, to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 8, Block XI, Karioi Survey District; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary to the southern boundary of Section 21, Block XI, aforesaid; thence westerly generally along that boundary and the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of Section 19, Block XV, Karioi Survey District, to the south-eastern boundary of Section 18, Block XV, aforesaid; thence northerly generally along that boundary to the point of commencement; excepting thereout all public roads.
