LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION TO MAKE SPECIAL RATE

Pensioner Housing Loan No. 5, 1971—$38,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it, in that behalf, by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of thirty-eight thousand dollars ($38,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing pensioners’ housing at Taita, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.015 of a cent in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value), on all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 40 years, or until such time as the loan is repaid.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council on 26 April 1971.

RESOLUTION TO MAKE SPECIAL RATE

Streets Reconstruction Loan 1971, $80,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it, in that behalf, by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eighty thousand dollars ($80,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of reconstructing parts of Miro Miro and Normandale Roads, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.054 of a cent in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value), on all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until such time as the loan is repaid.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council on 26 April 1971.

Taita Flats Loan 1971, $252,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it, in that behalf, by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two hundred and fifty-two thousand dollars ($252,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of building public rental flats at High Street, Taita, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.120 of a cent in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value), on all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 40 years, or until such time as the loan is repaid.”

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manukau City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of $246,000 authorised to be raised by the Manukau City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Manukau County Council’s loans enumerated below.

within the City of Manukau, the said Manukau City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one nine cents (.019c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the City of Manukau, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I, Ronald Wood, Town Clerk of the Manukau City Council, hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Manukau City Council held on the 29th day of April 1971.

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Copy of resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on Monday, 3 May 1971, making special rate for renewal loans 1971:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the renewal loans detailed in the Schedule hereunder authorised to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of refinancing previous loans maturing on 15 April, 15 May, and 15 June 1971, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.04483 cent in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loans and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loans, being a period of six (6) years and ten (10) years, or until the loans are fully paid off:

SCHEDULE

(a) Electricity Renewal Loan No. 1, 1971, of $103,600.
(b) General Renewal Loan No. 1, 1971, of $20,100.
(c) Gasworks Renewal Loan No. 1, 1971, of $69,000.
