Acquisition of Land as Part of the Wyndham Scenic Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired as a scenic reserve, subject to the provisions of Part IV of the said Act, as an addition to the Wyndham Scenic Reserve.

Revoking Bylaw Imposing Speed Restriction on the Frasertown Bridge on No. 38 State Highway (Waiotapu to Wairoa via Waikaremoana)

NOTICE is hereby given that the bylaw described in the Schedule hereto was revoked by resolution of the National Roads Board duly passed at a meeting of the board held in Wellington on the 28th day of April 1971.

NATIONAL Roads Board bylaw 1965 No. 3* imposing a maximum speed restriction of 10 m.p.h. for vehicles travelling upon or over the Frasertown bridge on No. 38 State highway.

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a Wahitapu for the common use and benefit of the people of the Ngati-pakau tribe.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated 11 March 1968 and published in Gazette, 14 November 1968, No. 74, page 2070, the Maori freehold land described in the First Schedule hereto was set apart as a Maori reservation and whereas the area and the Land District of the said land have been determined to be different from that shown in the said notice, now, therefore, pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, notice is hereby given as follows.

The reservation constituted by Order in Council, dated 11 November 1968, and published in Gazette, 14 November 1968, No. 74, page 2070, relating to the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby cancelled.

The whole of the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori Reservation for the purpose of a burial ground for the common use and benefit of Alice Tamati and Kiringaua Tamati, deceased, and his successors.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated 11 December 1967 and published in Gazette, 20 December 1967, No. 82, page 2379, the land described in the First Schedule hereto was set apart as a Maori reservation and whereas it is now desired to extend the reservation to contain adjoining land as recommended by the Maori Land Court now, therefore, pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, notice is hereby given as follows.

The whole of the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori Reservation for the purpose of a meeting place and urupas for the common use and benefit of owners of the Ngamotu Block.
