City Council held on 23 March 1971, the following resolution
was passed:

"That, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Tauranga City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of $140,000 authorised to be raised by the Tauranga City
Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the
provision of footpaths and storm water drainage within the City

charges on a loan of $23,000 authorised to be raised by the

the purpose of repaying on maturity Redemption Loan No. 13,

its amendments, for the purpose of constructing a high
pressure gas pipeline from the City gate to the Imlay Works of
the N.Z. Refrigerating Co. Ltd. and ancillary work thereto, the
said Wanganui City Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of 0.0185 of a cent in the dollar upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property in the City of Wanganui comprising
the whole of the City of Wanganui, the boundaries
whereof are defined in the New Zealand Gazette of
the 25th day of January 1968, No. 4, at page 106, and that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day
of April in each and every year during the currency of the
