THE HON. D. J. RIDDIFORD PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Otorohanga Pest Destruction District Constitution Order 1971.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1971.
  2. There is hereby constituted a pest destruction district to be known as the Otorohanga Pest Destruction District having as its boundaries that area specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF OTOROHANGA PEST DESTRUCTION DISTRICT
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Otorohanga County, containing 487,680 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block I, Kawhia North Survey District, where the southern shores of the Aotea Harbour meet the sea coast, and running generally easterly along the southern and eastern shores of that harbour to the south-western corner of Moerangi No. 3D1, in Block II, Kawhia North Survey District; thence generally easterly along the southern boundary of No. 3D1, the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of part Moerangi No. 3D2, the original southern boundary of Section 2, Block III, Kawhia North Survey District, as shown on S.O. Plan 17999, the eastern boundary of Section 1, of the said Block III, the south-eastern and eastern boundaries of part Section 7, Block XV, Karioi Survey District, the southern boundary of Section 8 of the said Block XV, to and along the western side of Koponui Road to the angle in that road nearest the south-western corner of Section 4, Block IV, Kawhia North Survey District; thence along a right line to that south-western corner; thence generally easterly along the southern boundary of Section 4 aforesaid, and the western, southern, and eastern boundaries of Section 7, Block I, Pirongia Survey District, to the angle in that last-mentioned boundary in line with a right line, bearing 295° 51' from the south-western corner of Section 6, of that Block I; thence generally easterly along that right line to that last-mentioned south-western corner, along the southern boundary of the said Section 6, the western, southern, and

south-eastern boundaries of part Moerangi No. 4, and the north-eastern boundary of part Pirongia West No. 3A, to Trig. Station 1922, Mahaukura, in Block III, Pirongia Survey District; thence generally easterly along the southern boundary of the Waipa Pest Destruction District, hereinbefore described, to the middle of the Waikato River, in Block IV, Wharepapa Survey District; thence generally southerly up the middle of that river, to and up the middle of the Waipapa River, to and up the middle of the Waiteti Stream to its approximate source at peg C XXX in Block XI, Ranginui Survey District, as shown on S.O. Plan 20946²; thence generally southerly along the western boundaries of Pouakani No. 2, as shown on M.L. plan 20091, Section 1, Block XVI, Ranginui Survey District, and part Pouakani B No. 11, to the north-eastern corner of part Mareroa A No. 3A; thence westerly along the northern boundary of the said part A No. 3A, to its intersection with a right line between Trig. Station 1641, Rangitoto, in Block IV, Pakauamanu Survey District, and the source of the Ongarue River, near Trig. Station 1390, Pureora, in Block III, Hurakia Survey District; thence generally north-westerly along that right line to its intersection, in Block XIV, Ranginui Survey District, with the south-eastern boundary of Rangitoto A No. 31B; thence generally northerly along the south-eastern boundary of that block and the south-western boundaries of part Rangitoto B to the easternmost corner of part Rangitoto A 34A; thence generally northerly along a right line to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 2 and 1, D.P. S. 7133, and the eastern and northern boundaries of part Lot 1, D.P. 35582, to the westernmost corner of that last-mentioned lot; thence generally westerly along the generally north-eastern, northern, and western boundaries of Section 1, Block VIII, Pakaumanu Survey District, the northern boundary of Rangitoto A No. 67B2A and the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Rangitoto A No. 67B1B and that last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Waipa River; thence generally northerly down the middle of that river to a point in Block VII, Pakaumanu Survey District, in line with the southern boundary of Rangitoto A No. 41; thence generally northerly along a right line to and along the southern, eastern, and northern boundaries of the said A No. 41 and that last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Waipa River; thence generally northerly down the middle of that river to a point in Block II, Pakaumanu Survey District, in line with the northern boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 14919; thence generally northerly along a right line, to and along that northern boundary, the western side of a public road, the original eastern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 35E, as shown on M.L. plan 7465¹, the eastern and northern boundaries of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 35E1A, the eastern and northern boundaries of Section 24, Block XIV, Mangaorongo Survey District, to the south-eastern side of Barbers Road; thence generally easterly along a right line, to and along the northern and north-western boundaries of Section 3, of that Block XIV, the northern boundary of Section 14, of the said Block XIV, the generally eastern and northern boundaries of Section 21, Block XIII, Mangaorongo Survey District, and the northern and western boundaries of Section 25, of that Block XIII, to a point on that last-mentioned boundary, being the original south-eastern corner of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 26B, as shown on M.L. plan 8389; thence generally easterly along the original southern boundary of that block and along a right line to the north-eastern corner of part Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 69B; thence generally easterly along the northern boundary of the said No. 69B, and along the northern boundaries of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 71B1, and part Te Tawai A No. 1 to the eastern boundary of Mangarapa A1; thence generally northerly along that boundary, the eastern boundaries of Te Kuiti 2B, Nos. 9B and 14B, the northern boundary of that last block, part of the generally eastern boundary of Section 1, Block XVI, Orakiri Survey District, the eastern boundary of Manga-rapa No. 1B, another part of the eastern boundary of Section 1, Block XVI aforesaid, the eastern boundary of Section 2, Block XII, Orahiri Survey District, the eastern and northern boundaries of Lot 3, D.P. S. 7352, and the northern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. S. 7352, to a point in the middle of the Mangarapa Stream, approximately 6 chains distant from the eastern side of Mangarino Road; thence generally northerly down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the original northern boundary of Pukeroa-Hangatiki No. 4D2J, as shown on M.L. plan 8583; thence generally easterly along a right line to and along that northern boundary and that boundary produced to the middle of the Old Te Kuiti Road; thence generally south-westerly along the middle of that road to the south-eastern side of the North Island Main Trunk Railway; thence along a right line to the intersection of the north-western side of that railway with the south-western side of the Hangatiki-Caves Main Highway; thence generally northerly along the north-western side of the aforesaid railway, to and along the north-eastern boundary of part Pukeroa-Hangatiki No. 1A, and the south-eastern boundary of Te Kawa A No.
