such district, in the manner therein provided:

And whereas a petition praying that the area described in
the Schedule hereto be included within the Amethyst Electric
Power District was publicly notified and duly presented to the
Governor-General in terms of the said Act:

And whereas the approval of the Electricity Distribution
Commission has been given pursuant to the Electricity
Distribution Commission Act 1967:

And whereas, after due inquiry the Governor-General is of
the opinion that the petition should be granted:

Now, therefore, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise
of the power and authority conferred by section 3 of the
Electric Power Boards Act 1925, and of every other power and
authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
alter the boundaries of the Amethyst Electric Power District so
as to include therein the area described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Westland Land District containing 360
square miles, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at
a point on the left bank of the Haast River at its mouth and
proceeding south-westerly generally along the sea coast to a
point on the right bank of the Waiatoto River; thence southerly
generally along the right bank of the Waiatoto River to its con-
fluence with the Te Naihi River; thence easterly generally
along the right bank of the Te Naihi River to the terminal face
of Axius Glacier; thence to and along the right wall of the
said glacier to the Main Divide; thence north-easterly along
the Main Divide to the eastern side of Main Highway No. 6
at the summit of Haast Pass; thence northerly along the eastern
side of State Highway No. 6 to the left bank of Cross Creek;
thence easterly along the left bank of Cross Creek to its con-
fluence with Haast River; thence north-westerly generally along
the left bank of Haast River to the point of commencement;
as the said area is more particularly shown, bounded by a red
line, on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 812 deposited in the office
of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this
14th day of March 1971.

THE HON. D. J. RIDDIFORD PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes
the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Waipa Pest Destruction
    District Constitution Order 1971.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of April

  2. There is hereby constituted a pest destruction district to
    be known as the Waipa Pest Destruction District, having as
    its boundaries that area specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF WAIPA PEST DESTRUCTION DISTRICT

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Waipa
County, containing 240,000 acres, more or less, bounded by a
line commencing at a point in the middle of the Waipa River,
in Block VII, Alexandra Survey District, in line with the
production westerly of the northern boundary of Allotment
407, Tuhikaramea Parish; thence easterly along a right line, to
and along the northern boundaries of Allotments 407 and 408,

of the said Parish, to and along the northern side of Living-
stone Road, the northern boundaries of Allotments 401 and
428, of the said Parish, along a right line to and along the
southern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. S. 13482, and its production
to the middle of Frankton-Pirongia Road; thence generally
easterly and northerly along the middle of that road to a point
in line with the middle line of Collins Road; thence easterly to
and along that middle line to the eastern side of the North
Island Main Trunk Railway; thence northerly along that side
to the boundary of the City of Hamilton, as described in
Gazette, 1965, p. 172; thence generally easterly along that
boundary to the middle of the Waikato River;
then up the middle of that river, to and along the
generally western, southern, and eastern boundaries of the
Borough of Cambridge as described in Gazette, 1958, p. 1732,
to and up the middle of the Waikato River to a point in line
with the north-western boundary of part Pukekura No. 1,
shown on D.P. 27186, in Block XIV, Cambridge Survey
District; thence generally southerly along that north-western
boundary, to and along the generally western boundaries of
part Pukekura No. 1, part Section 1, Block XIV, Cambridge
Survey District, Lots 1 and 2, D.P. S. 14224, Part Pukekura
No. 4, shown on D.P. 9392, Pukekura No. 5, Section 1, and
part No. 6, to Trig. Station 52, Pukekura; thence south-
easterly along the south-western boundary of Pukekura No.
7, to the easternmost corner of Pukekura 18B2; thence south-
westerly along the south-eastern boundary of Pukekura 18B2,
to the southernmost corner of that block; thence generally
southerly along the western boundaries of parts Pukekura Nos.
9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 to the southernmost corner of the
said part 14; thence south-easterly along a right line to Trig.
Station 1427, Maungatautari, in Block VII, Maungatautari
Survey District, and along another right line running between
that Trig. Station and Trig. Station 807, Uraura, in Block VII,
Ngautuku Survey District, to the intersection of that right line
and the middle of the Waikato River; thence up the middle
of that river and the Arapuni Lake to a point in line with the
northern boundary of Section 8, Block III, Wharepapa Survey
District; thence generally westerly along a right line to and
along that northern boundary and the northern boundary of
Section 7, Block III, aforesaid to Karaka Road; thence along
a right line to and along the northern boundary of Whare-
puhunga part 16B5 to its north-western corner; thence gener-
ally southerly along the north-western boundary of that block
and the north-western boundary of Section 9, Block VI,
Wharepapa Survey District, to Trig. Station 1593, Whatauri;
thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundaries of
Lots 2 and 1, D.P. 37228, Lot 1 D.P. S. 2900, part Section 6
and Section 1, Block II, Wharepapa Survey District, Lot 1,
D.P. S. 891, and that last-mentioned boundary produced to the
middle of the Puniu River; thence down the middle of that
river to its confluence with the Moerika Stream in Block XI,
Puniu Survey District; thence south-westerly along a right
line to the north-eastern corner of Lot 2, D.P. 21236; thence
generally westerly along the northern and western boundaries
of that lot to a point in line with the northern boundary of
Lot 1, D.P. S. 2050; thence generally westerly along a right
line to and along the said northern boundary and the northern
boundary of Lot 2, D.P. S. 2050, to the north-western corner
of that lot; thence generally westerly along a right line to the
northernmost corner of Tokanui C 11, being part of the land
included in part Lot 1, D.P. 4924; thence south-westerly along
the north-western boundary of that part Lot 1 to the western-
most corner of that lot; thence generally northerly and
westerly along the eastern and northern boundaries of Lot 1,
D.P. 12868, the northern and western boundaries of Section 7,
Block X, Puniu Survey District, and the northern boundaries
of part Lot 2, D.P. 12868, and part Ouruwhero 3y2c, and that
last boundary produced to the western side of the North Island
Main Trunk Railway; thence southerly along that western side
to the southernmost corner of part Section 1, Block X, Puniu
Survey District; thence westerly along the southern boundary
of that section and the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P.
25224, to the eastern boundary of Ouruwhero 301; thence
generally northerly and westerly along the eastern and northern
boundaries of part Ouruwhero 301, the northern boundaries of
parts Ouruwhero 302c2 and 303, Lot 1, D.P. 6657, Lot 2, D.P.
15110, and the original northern boundaries of Ouruwhero
3E5B and 3E2, to and along the northern boundaries of part
Lot 10, D.P. 23042, and Lot 1, D.P. 23897, to the Te
Awamutu - Bartons Corner Road; thence westerly along a right
line to and along the northern boundary of part Ouruwhero
3E1A and that boundary produced to the middle of the Waipa
River, in Block XII, Pirongia Survey District; thence northerly
down the middle of that river, to and southerly up the middle
of the Mangauika Stream in Block IV, Pirongia Survey
District, to a point in line with the southern boundary of
Allotment 329A, Pirongia Parish; thence generally westerly
along the original northern boundary of Section 2, Block IV,
Pirongia Survey District, and the northern boundaries of
Sections 11 and 9, Block IV aforesaid, to the northernmost
