RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL

PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, public notice is hereby given that the Raglan County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the stopping of a road, and for the purposes of that public work the road described in the Schedule hereto is required to be stopped; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the road required to be stopped is deposited at the offices of the Raglan County Council, Great South Road, Ngaruawahia, and is there open for inspection; all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the stopping of the said road should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the stopping of the said road, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the written objection to the office of the Council not later than the 21st day of April 1971, and if any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan No. 7, 1971β€”$33,400β€”Portion $33,000

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the Tauranga City Council held on 8 March 1971, the following resolution was passed:

"Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Tauranga City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the loan of $33,000 authorised to be raised by the Tauranga City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying securities maturing on 14 March 1971, namely, that portion of the development loan 1955 of $200,000, the said Tauranga City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal point nought one two seven nine cents (.01279 cents) in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Tauranga, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Dunedin City Development Loan No. 9, 1971 of $200,000

Copy of resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on Monday, 8 March 1971:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $200,000 authorised to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for old people, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0185 cent in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the above-mentioned date.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Franklin County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) authorised to be raised by the Franklin County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the Franklin County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought two four five three cents (.02453) in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value), of all rateable property in the County of Franklin, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Franklin County Council held on the 8th day of March 1971.
