Rural Housing Loan 1970
THAT a special rate of decimal zero one five eight of a cent
in the dollar (.0158 of a cent in the $) on the rateable capital
value of the County of Tuapeka be made and struck for the
purpose of repaying interest and principal repayments on
the Rural Housing Loan 1970 and this rate shall continue
in force until the said Rural Housing Loan 1970 has been
repaid in full.

WAIPAWA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Takapau Fire Engine Loan 1970, $7,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Waipawa County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of seven thousand dollars ($7,000) authorised to be
raised by the Waipawa County Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the purposes of providing portion of the
cost of a new fire engine for the Takapau Fire Brigade for
the County Town of Takapau, the said Waipawa County
Council hereby makes a special rate of nought point one five
two cents (.152 cents) in the dollar on the value of improve-
ments which is equivalent to a special rate of nought point
seven eight seven eight four cents in the dollar (.78784c) on the
rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the
Takapau County Town Special Rating Area; and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate and be payable
in one sum annually on the 15th day of August in each and
every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10
years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

the Waipawa County Council held on 22 February 1971.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

I, Louis Seager Carpenter, chairman of the North Canterbury
Electric Power Board, do hereby certify that the following
resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the North Canter-
bury Electric Power Board held in Rangiora on the 23rd day
of February 1971:
“In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and by all
other powers enabling it thereto, the North Canterbury Electric
Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
supplementary loan of $15,000 authorised to be raised by the
North Canterbury Electric Power Board under the provisions
of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and the Local
Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of supplying and
distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the North
Canterbury Electric Power District and for such purpose to do
all or any of such matters and things which the Board is
empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and
its Amendments, and by all other Powers and Authorities it
enabling, the North Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby
makes a special rate of one three hundred and forty-seventh
of a cent (1/347c.) in the dollar ($) on the rateable capital

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioners’ Cottages (Andrews Crescent) Loan, 1970—$105,700
Pensioners’ Cottages (Beachville Road) Loan, 1970—$46,300
Pensioners’ Cottages (Ferry Road) Loan, 1970—$67,600
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and its
amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf enabling,
the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and
other charges on loans of one hundred and five thousand
seven hundred dollars ($105,700), forty-six thousand three
hundred dollars ($46,300), and sixty-seven thousand six
hundred dollars ($67,600) authorised to be raised by the
Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for
the purpose of erecting pensioners’ cottages in Andrews Cres-
cent, Beachville Road, and Ferry Road, the said Christchurch
City Council hereby makes and levies special rates of
$.00003175 (decimal nought nought nought nought three
one seven five), $.00001921 (decimal nought nought nought
nought one nine two one), and $.00002805 (decimal nought
nought nought nought two eight nought five) in the dollar
respectively on the rateable value, on the basis of the unim-
proved value of all rateable property comprised within the
City of Christchurch; and that such special rates shall be
annual-recurring rates payable on demand during the currency
of the loans being terms of thirty (30) years in each case or
until the loans are fully paid off.”
The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the
22nd day of February 1971, passed the above resolution.

1970—$200,000
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and its amend-
ments, and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the
Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and
other charges on a loan of two hundred thousand dollars
($200,000) authorised to be raised by the Christchurch City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
providing an all weather track and development of the Merry
Estate, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of $.0001355 (decimal nought nought
nought one three five five) in the dollar on the rateable value,
