PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine and Fisheries hereby gives notice that the licence of 4 November 1963* authorising Ralph Stuart Instone to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the Clutha River at Alexandra, as a site for a jetty, is hereby revoked.

The Motor Launch (Frankton Arm, Lake Wakatipu) Notice (No. 2) 1971

PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, the Minister of Marine and Fisheries hereby gives the following notice:

1. (a) The notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Frankton Arm, Lake Wakatipu) Notice (No. 2) 1971.

(b) The notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette, and shall remain in force until further notice.

2. Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply with respect to the area described in the First Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

All that area of water in Frankton Arm, Lake Wakatipu, bounded on the sides by parallel lines 300 ft apart, extending 200 yd from the waters edge in a 356° true direction the eastern boundary commencing at a point 132 ft and bearing 352° true from the north-eastern corner of Section 45, D.P. 9192, Kawarau Falls.

SECOND SCHEDULE

THE access lane shall be marked as follows :

1. Two 8-ft transit posts with a distance of not less than 10 ft or more than 20 ft between and painted with 12-in. bright orange and black bands shall be erected on land in line with each side of the access lane, the first post being sited on the lake margin at normal lake level.

2. On each side of the transit posts sited on the lake margin at normal lake level there shall be fastened in line with the sides of the access lane a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft painted bright orange with black lettering in the following form:

"NOTICE

MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1962

Access lane through which motor launches and water skiers may pass at speeds greater than 5 miles per hour

Bathers Keep Out"

3. Where practical marker buoys, either barrel, drum, or spherical shaped, painted bright orange with a vertical black stripe, shall be moored 50 yd and 200 yd from the lake margin at normal lake level and in line with each set of transit posts.

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine and Fisheries hereby licenses and permits Desmond John Skene (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his administrators, executors, or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the Motunau River as shown on plan marked M.D. 12495 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a boat mooring as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
