Revision of District Valuation Rolls

PURSUANT to the Valuation of Land Act 1951, the Valuer-General has revised, as at 1 January 1971, the district valuation rolls for the districts named in the following Schedule.

SCHEDULE
Boroughs: Papakura, Waihi, Greymouth.
Counties: Great Barrier Island, Islands in Hauraki Gulf, Hauraki Plains, Horowhenua, Wanganui.

Notice to Make Payment of Income Tax Under the Land and Income Tax Act 1954

PURSUANT to the Land and Income Tax Act 1954, the Commissioner of Inland Revenue hereby gives notice as follows:

Income tax payable for the year of assessment which commenced on the 1st day of April 1970 on income derived (or deemed to have been derived) during the income year which commenced on the 1st day of April 1969 by:

(1) Every subsisting company* otherwise than as trustee or agent;
(2) Every public authority otherwise than as trustee or agent;
(3) Every Maori authority:

shall be due and payable in one sum on the 7th day of February 1971 at any office of the Inland Revenue Department or at any post office with savings bank facilities.

*"Subsisting company" means a company which was incorporated before the 26th day of July 1957; but does not include a company which by virtue of an election under section 42 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1957, has become a provisional taxpayer.

Department of Agriculture—Agricultural Chemicals Notice, Amendment No. 28 (No. Ag. 10744)

PURSUANT to the Agricultural Chemicals Act 1959 and to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under sections 9 and 10 of the Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for the purposes of the said Act, it is hereby notified that the Schedule to the Agricultural Chemicals Notice (No. Ag. 10487)* is hereby amended by adding the products specified in the Schedule hereto.

Plant Declared Noxious Weed in the County of Golden Bay (Notice No. Ag. 10741)

PURSUANT to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under the Department of Agriculture Act 1953, for the purposes of Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the following Special

Order made by the Golden Bay County Council on 9 December 1970 is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER

"PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Golden Bay County Council hereby declares hemlock (Conium maculatum) a noxious weed under the said Act."

Notice Varying Proclamation Setting Apart Land for the Purposes of the Maori Housing Act 1935

WHEREAS under and by virtue of a Proclamation, dated the 7th day of December 1962 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, dated the 19th day of December 1962, No. 81 at pp. 2255 and 2256, all that piece of land mentioned in the First Schedule hereto was set apart for the purposes of the Maori Housing Act 1935: And whereas at the date hereof the said piece of land has the area and description set forth in the Second Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, the Board of Maori Affairs acting pursuant to section 2 (1) (b) of the Maori Housing Amendment Act 1938 hereby varies, as from and including the date of the publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette, the said Proclamation by substituting therein the area and description of the said land as set forth in the Second Schedule hereto for the area and description of the said land as set forth in the First Schedule hereto.

WHEREAS under and by virtue of a Proclamation, dated the the 20th day of August 1963, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, dated the 29th day of August 1963, No. 50, at p. 1229. All that piece of land mentioned in the First Schedule hereto was set apart for the purposes of the Maori Housing Act 1935: And whereas at the date hereof the said piece of land has the area and description set forth in the Second Schedule hereto: Now therefore the Board of Maori Affairs acting pursuant to section 2 (1) (b) of the Maori Housing Amendment Act 1938 hereby varies, as from and including the date of the publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette, the said Proclamation by substituting therein the area and description of the said land as set forth in the Second Schedule hereto for the area and description of the said land as set forth in the First Schedule hereto.
