Notice of Intention to Apply for Ministerial Approval of Codes of Practice under the Construction Act 1959

Pursuant to section 18B of the Construction Act 1959, I, James William Cornish, the chief safety engineer, of the Department of Labour, hereby give notice of my intention to apply after 1 month from the date of this notice to the Minister of Labour for approval of the Code of Practice for work in Compressed Air of 4 June 1968, and the Code of Practice for Under-Water Diving on Construction Work of 1 October 1969.

Notice of Varied Hours for Sale of Liquor at the Thistle Inn, Wellington

Pursuant to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as inserted by section 3 of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act (No. 2) 1967, I, Eric Alderson Missen, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Wellington Licensing Committee on 18 November 1970, made an order fixing hours other than the usual hours for opening and closing the Thistle Inn, Wellington, for sale of liquor to the public, namely, that such hotel premises be authorised to be open between the hours of 8.30 a.m. and 7.30 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays inclusive.

Notice of Varied Hours of Sale of Liquor at the Club Hotel, Pahiatua

Pursuant to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as inserted by section 3 of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act (Number 2) 1967, I, Eric Alderson Missen, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Manawatu Licensing Committee on 10 December 1970, made an order fixing hours other than the usual hours for opening and closing the Club Hotel, Pahiatua, for sale of liquor to the public, namely, that such hotel premises be authorised to be open between the hours of 9 a.m. and 8 p.m., Mondays to Thursdays inclusive. Normal licensing hours will be observed for the rest of the week.

Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities

Pursuant to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.
