NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, public notice is hereby given that the Waikato County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road the portions of land described in the Schedule hereto. A plan of the portions of land proposed to be taken for road is open for public inspection at the office of the Waikato County Council, Grey Street, Hamilton East, during 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All persons objecting to the proposal must lodge their objection, in writing, at the office of the Council on or before the 30th day of March 1970.

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whangarei County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $13,000 authorised to be raised by the Whangarei County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a new fire appliance for the Portland Fire Brigade, the Whangarei County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.00893c in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the County of Whangarei; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

BOROUGH OF MOUNT WELLINGTON

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mount Wellington Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-three thousand six hundred dollars ($23,600) to be known as the Pensioner Flats (Banks Road) Loan No. 3, 1969, authorised to be raised by the Mount Wellington Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for old people on a site at Banks Road, the Mount Wellington Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.00181c in the dollar upon the rateable value of the property in the Borough of Mount Wellington; and such rate shall be an annual-recurring charge during the currency of the said loan and shall be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, for a period of forty (40) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan No. 12, 1969—$200,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $200,000 authorised to be raised by the Waipa County Council under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Waipa County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.042c in the dollar on the rateable property in the County of Waipa; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Waipa County Council held on Monday, 16 February 1970.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waipaoa River Flood Control Scheme Redemption Loan 1969, $36,400
THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $36,400 authorised to be raised for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Waipaoa River Flood Control Scheme Loan 1952, $398,900, which matures on 1 March 1970, the Poverty Bay Catchment Board hereby makes a special rate upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property in the various classes within the Waipaoa River Flood Control Scheme Rating Area, as defined by the classification list prepared and adopted by the Board on 4 May 1951, for the purpose of rating for such scheme, and as deposited in the office of the Board, the said special rate in the various classes according to such classification list as set out in the following Schedule; such special rate to be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and payable yearly on the 1st day of September, in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, until 1 March 1990, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Central Waikato Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000) authorised to be raised by the Central Waikato Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of financing the further extensions and development of the Board’s reticulation system, including the purchasing and installation of centralised loan control equipment for the benefit of the Board’s Electric Supply District, and, for such purposes, to do all of such matters and things which the Board is empowered
