CORRIGENDUM
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

IN the notice dated the 25th day of April 1888, and published
in Gazette, 26 April 1888, No. 26, p. 485, declaring the lands
described in the Schedule to be water-races, for the description
of the Main Race No. 2, after County of Selwyn which reads,
"the western boundary line of which commences at a point
on the Arterial Race, hereinbefore described, about 75 links
distant westerly from the south-eastern boundary-line of
Reserve No. 1322, Oxford Survey District, and proceeds south-
westerly parallel to the said south-eastern boundary-line to,
and thence through the Malvern Railway Reserve to a point
about 75 links distant north-easterly from the south-western
boundary line of the said Malvern Railway Reserve:" read,
"the eastern boundary-line of which commences at a point
on the Arterial Race, hereinbefore described, in line with the
south-eastern boundary-line of Reserve No. 1322, Oxford
Survey District, and proceeds south-westerly to and along that
boundary-line and its production to a point about 75 links
distant north-easterly from the south-western boundary-line of
the Malvern Railway Reserve;".

Time for Taking Census

ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by section 21 of the Statistics Act 1955, it is enacted
that the census of the population of New Zealand shall be
taken in the year 1956 and in every fifth year thereafter, and
that the day on which the census shall be taken and the time
with reference to which the particulars shall relate shall be
appointed by the Governor-General by Proclamation:

Now therefore, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and
appoint Wednesday, the 24th day of March 1971, as the day
on which the census shall be taken and midnight between
Tuesday, the 23rd day of March 1971 and Wednesday, the
24th day of March 1971, as the time with reference to which
the particulars shall relate.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this
9th day of December 1970.

Waikato County

ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Arthur Espie
Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for road; and I also declare that this
Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 21st day of
December 1970.

SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL those pieces of land, situated in Block II, Hapuakohe
Survey District, described as follows:

0 1 34.5 Part Allotment 41, Whangamarino Parish; coloured
blue on plan.
0 0 23.1 Parts Allotment 43, Whangamarino Parish; col-
0 0 3.1 oured yellow on plan.
0 0 6.1 Part Allotment 38, Whangamarino Parish; col-
oured sepia on plan.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan
marked M.O.W. 24696 (S.O. 45208) deposited in the office of
the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as
above-mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this
3rd day of December 1970.
