GREENHALGH’S (A. AND N.Z.) PTY. LTD.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CEASE TO HAVE PLACE OF BUSINESS IN NEW ZEALAND

In the matter of the Companies Act 1955, and in the matter of Greenhalgh’s (A. and N.Z.) Pty. Ltd., an overseas company, notice is hereby given pursuant to section 405 of the Companies Act 1955, that Greenhalgh’s (A. and N.Z.) Pty. Ltd., an overseas company, having its place of business at 14–16 Harris Street, Wellington, will cease to have a place of business in New Zealand at the expiration of 3 months from the first publication of this notice.

Notice is hereby further given that the business of Greenhalgh’s (A. and N.Z.) Pty. Ltd. will be carried on in New Zealand by a new company to be called Greenhalgh (N.Z.) Ltd. with its registered office at 14–16 Harris Street, Wellington.

THAMES BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Thames Borough Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work, namely, to construct and layout a service lane in the block bounded by Pollen, Willoughby, Mackay, and Richmond Streets in the Borough of Thames and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council situate in Mary Street, Thames, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of the notice to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Mary Street, Thames.

If any such objection is made, a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

WAIPAWA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Waipawa Council proposes under the provision of the above-mentioned Act, to take the land described in the first Schedule hereto for road and close the road described in the Second Schedule hereto and notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the land proposed to be taken and the road proposed to be closed is deposited in the main office of the clerk of the above-mentioned Council situated at Waipawa and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the taking of the said land or by the closing of the said road who have any objection thereto (not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation) must state their objection in writing, and lodge the same at the office of the County Clerk on or before the 17th day of January 1971. If any such objection is made, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of a time and place of the hearing.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ONE acre four perches (1A. 4P.), more or less, coloured orange, on Survey Office Plan No. 6126, being part Lot 2, Deposited Plan No. 8919, being part Block 3, Gwavas Crown Grant District, situated in Block V, Maraekakaho Survey District, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, H.B. Volume 147, folio 137 (Hawke’s Bay Registry), the said land being situated in the Waipawa County, and in the Land Registration District of Hawke’s Bay.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ONE rood thirty-five decimal seven perches (1R. 35.7P.), more or less, shown coloured green on Survey Office Plan No. 6126, adjoining or passing through that piece of land being Lots 1 and 2, Deposited Plan No. 8919, being part Block 3, Gwavas Crown Grant District, situated in Block V, Maraekakaho Survey District, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title H.B., Volume 147, folio 137 (Hawke’s Bay Registry), the said land being situated in the Waipawa County and in the Land Registration District of Hawke’s Bay.

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Bridge Loan 1970, $60,000

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whangarei County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $60,000, authorised to be raised by the Whangarei County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act for the purpose of renewing bridges in the County, the said Whangarei County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0348 cents in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Whangarei; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
