Declaring Land Acquired for a Local Work to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand hereby declare the land described in the First and Second Schedules hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 and subject also, as to the land described in the said First Schedule, to the right of way created by memorandum of transfer No. 79750, Nelson Land Registry.

ALL that piece of land containing 28 acres 1 rood 3 perches situated in Blocks V and IX, Waimea Survey District, Waimea County, Nelson R.D., being part Lots 1, 2, 3, 5, and 9, D.P. 5969, being part Sections 27, 27A, and 30, District of Waimea South and accretion thereto. Crown Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land and Further Set Apart as a Forest Sanctuary

ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land and pursuant to section 20 of the said Act, further set apart the land as a forest sanctuary to preserve a unique remnant of pohutukawa (Metrosideros excelsa) forest for scientific purposes.
