Tariff and Development Board Notice No. 154--New Zealand - Australia Free Trade Agreement--Additions to Schedule A--
Public Inquiries
- At the request of the Minister of Overseas Trade, the Tariff and Development Board proposes to inquire into and report upon the
question whether goods listed in the Schedule to this notice should be added to Schedule A of the New Zealand - Australia Free Trade
Agreement. - For the purpose of taking evidence, the Board will hold public inquiries, commencing at 10.30 a.m. on the dates shown in the Schedule
to this notice, in the Boardroom, First Floor, New Zealand Law Society Building, 26 Waring Taylor Street, Wellington. - Twelve copies of a typewritten statement of the evidence to be tendered should reach the Board's office no later than the dates shown in the
Schedule to this notice. The Board has prepared an outline of the information required for consideration of representations regarding
additions to Schedule A, and these notes, a copy of which can be obtained from the Board's office, may be found useful in the preparation of
evidence. Each statement will need to be presented under oath at the public inquiry by the person tendering it.

Any person wishing to lodge an objection to the granting of these applications should do so in writing on or before 5 March 1970. Sub-
missions should include a reference to the application number, Tariff item, and description of goods concerned, be addressed to the
Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, and supported by information as to:
(a) The range of equivalent goods manufactured locally;
(b) The proportion of New Zealand and imported materials used in manufacture;
(c) Present and potential output; and
(d) Details of factory cost in terms of materials, labour, overhead, etc.
