and proceeding south-easterly along a right line between that
corner and the north-western corner of Lot 1, D.P. 18662,
to the boundary of the Borough of Whakatane in the middle
of the Whakatane River; thence south-westerly, south-easterly,
and north-easterly generally along that borough boundary as
hereinbefore described, to the south-western side of the
Whakatane-Kutarere Road; thence south-easterly generally
along the generally south-western sides of that road, Wainui
Stock Road, and Burma Road to the eastern boundary of
Lot 3, D.P. 24302; thence southerly along that boundary
and the eastern boundary of part Lot 4, D.P. 10439, to the
southern boundary of that lot; thence westerly along that
boundary to the eastern boundary of Allotment 461, Waimana
Parish; thence southerly along that boundary to the northern
side of a public road; thence southerly along a right line to

BOUNDIRIES OF GALATEA RIDING OF COUNTY OF WHAKATANE
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District,
Whakatane County, bounded by a line commencing at the
southernmost corner of part Allotment 63, Matata Parish
(provisional State forest, Gazette, 1920, p. 2107), in Block
XV, Rotoma Survey District, and proceeding easterly along
the northern boundary of Te Haehaenga No. 4 and its
production to and along the northern boundary of part
Kawerau B. to and along the left bank of the Tarawera River
to the western boundary of Block XIII, Rangitaiki Upper
Survey District; thence along a right line to the south-western
corner of Allotment 59B 2, Matata Parish, as shown on
M.L. 12396; thence along the southern boundaries of that
allotment and Allotment 59B 1 (M.L. 12396) to and along
the northern boundary of part Matahina A. 1D, along a
right line to and along the northern boundaries of another
part A. 1D and another part A. 1D to the left bank of the
Rangitaiki River; thence southerly generally along that bank
to the southern boundary of Block XIV, Rangitaiki Lower
Survey District; thence easterly generally along that boundary,
the southern boundary of Block XV, Rangitaiki Lower Survey
District, the western and south-eastern boundaries of Oputea
Block and the southern boundary of Block XV, aforesaid, to
its easternmost point; thence southerly generally along the
western boundaries of Blocks IV, VIII, XII, and XVI,
Galatea Survey District, the northern and western boundaries
of Block III, and the western boundaries of Blocks VII, XI,
and XV, Ahikereru Survey District, and the western boundary
of Block III, Tuwatawata Survey District, to the boundary
of Whakatane County, as hereinbefore described; thence
south-westerly generally and northerly along that county
boundary to the point of commencement; excluding therefrom
the Borough of Murupara, as hereinbefore described.
BOUNDIRIES OF MATATA RIDING OF COUNTY OF WHAKATANE
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Whakatane
County, bounded by a line commencing at the southernmost
corner of part Allotment 63, Matata Parish (provisional State
forest, Gazette, 1920, p. 2107), in Block XV, Rotoma Survey
District, being a point on the western boundary of Whakatane
County, and proceeding northerly and south-easterly along
that boundary, as hereinbefore described, to the left bank of
the Tarawera River; thence southerly generally along that
bank to a point in line with the northern boundary of
Kawerau Borough; thence along a right line to the north-
western corner of that borough; thence south-westerly and
southerly generally along the north-western and western
boundaries of that borough, as hereinbefore described, to the
left bank of the Tarawera River; thence along the northern
boundary of part Kawerau B. and its production to and
along the northern boundary of Te Haehaenga No. 4 to the
point of commencement.
