NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS
——
IN the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is given that the Mangonui County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the realignment of the North Road, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited at the County Office, Commerce Street, Kaitaia, and is open for inspection without fee, by all persons, during ordinary office hours.
Every person affected by the said public work is called upon to set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the execution of the work or to the taking of the lands, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, and to send the written objection within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk, P.O. Box 57, Kaitaia.
If any objection is made in accordance with the previous paragraph, a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector requires otherwise, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

LOWER HUTT CITY CORPORATION

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
——
IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, and in the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, notice is hereby given that the Lower Hutt City Council being a local authority within the meaning of the Public Works Act 1928, proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts and of every and other power it thereunto enabling to execute a public work, i.e., the extension of Harbour View Road in the City of Lower Hutt, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for street purposes.
Notice is further given that a plan of the land described in the Schedule hereto and marked T.P. 676 is deposited at the offices of the Council, Administration Building, Laings Road, Lower Hutt, and is there open for inspection by all persons, without fee, during ordinary office hours.
Every person who is affected by the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said piece of land and who has any objection he may wish to make to the execution of such public work or to the taking of the said pieces of land (not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation), shall send his written objection within a period of 40 days from the date of first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Lower Hutt, at his office, Administration Building, Laings Road, Lower Hutt, and if any such objection is made a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

LAND REQUIRED TO BE TAKEN FOR THE PURPOSES OF A STREET
I.E., THE EXTENSION OF HARBOUR VIEW ROAD
ALL that piece of land situate in the City of Lower Hutt, having an area of 1 acre and 1.8 perches, more or less, being part of Section 75, Hutt District, and being part of the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 273, folio 164 (Wellington Registry), together with easement of water rights created by conveyances registered Nos. 27488 and 52732, and subject as to part to the easements of water rights created by conveyance registered No. 55298, which said piece of land is shown as Lot 1, on a plan of subdivision prepared by Barrie Neville Shute, of the City of Lower Hutt, registered surveyor, and marked T.P. 676.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Kowhai Land Development Loan 1970, $150,000
EXTRACT from the minutes of a meeting of the Northcote Borough Council held on 24 September 1970.
Resolved (Mayor/Cr. Rickman), pursuant to the Local Authorities’ Loans Act 1956, the Northcote Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $150,000 authorised to be raised by the Northcote Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing, developing, and subdividing land for housing, the said Northcote Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.3783 cents in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Northcote; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 7th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of an extract from the minutes of a meeting of the Northcote Borough Council, held on the 24th day of September 1970.

WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Taneatua Fire Station Loan 1970, $10,000
THE following resolution was passed at an ordinary meeting of the Whakatane County Council held on Tuesday, 27 October 1970:
“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whakatane County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) authorised to be raised by the Whakatane County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of building a fire station at Taneatua, the Whakatane County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal five nought five of a cent (.505c) in the dollar, upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the County Town of Taneatua, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Huntly Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
