Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Dunedin City Council

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for the conservation of the water supply of the City of Dunedin and for the preservation of timber, and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Dunedin, in trust, for that purpose.

Licensing Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand to Occupy a Site for Two Wharves and Connecting Breastwork at Milford Sound

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits the Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the sea at Milford Sound as shown on plan marked M.D. 13943 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon two wharves and connecting breastwork as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960 and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

2. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of October 1970.

3. The licensee shall permit all persons at reasonable times during the continuance of the licence freely to pass and repass over the foreshore and land referred to in the licence and all structures mentioned in the licence.

4. The premium payable by the licensee shall be ten dollars ($10) and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be twenty dollars ($20).

Notice of Approval of Bylaws

PURSUANT to section 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby gives notice that he approves the New Plymouth City Council Consolidated Bylaw 1968, Amendment No. 9, 1969 Part XV, clauses 8A (1), (2), and (3) and clauses 12 (1) and (2) relating to foreshore control, made by the New Plymouth City Council on 20 October 1969.
