Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 13th day of October 1970.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land held for better utilisation described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for railway purposes.

Government Railways Appeal Board—Appointment of Chairman

PURSUANT to section 91 of the Government Railways Act 1949, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby appoint as a member and as Chairman of the Government Railways Appeal Board, Ivan Stuart Johnston, of Waikanae, to hold office from and including the 5th day of October 1970 to and including the 30th day of April 1971.
