Cancellation of a Licence to Use Water Power
Pursuant to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity, with the consent of the licensee, hereby cancels a licence dated the 15th day of June 1964, authorising Kelvyn John Sarginson, of Mount Aurum Station, Queenstown, farmer, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity (Gazette, 25 June 1964, p. 1037).

Notice Requiring Certain Passenger-Service Licensees to Join the New Zealand Taxi Proprietors' Federation Incorporated
WHEREAS under the Transport Organisation Membership Regulations 1941, a poll has been conducted on the proposal that all licensees comprised in the following class—namely, taxicab services—be required to join the New Zealand Taxi Proprietors’ Federation Incorporated, and of 1,046 votes recorded 894 were in favour of the proposal.
Now therefore, I, John Bowie Gordon, Minister of Transport, do hereby declare that every person who is now or hereafter the holder of a passenger-service licence under the Transport Act 1962, and is a person comprised in the following class—namely, taxicab services—if he is not already a member thereof shall not later than the 1st day of December 1970, or not later than 14 days after the grant to him of such licence (as the case may be), join the New Zealand Taxi Proprietors’ Federation Incorporated.
For the purposes of this notice, membership of an organisation which is for the time being affiliated to or a member of that organisation, is by the said regulations deemed to be membership also of that organisation.

The Traffic (Mangonui County) Notice No. 1, 1970
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Mangonui County) Notice No. 1, 1970.
- The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality.
- The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purpose of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
- The notice dated the 15th day of May 1939+, as relates to Mangonui County at Awanui, is hereby revoked.
FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Mangonui County at Awanui:
No. 1 State Highway (Awanui Bluff) (from Gills Road to the Awanui River Bridge).
SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Mangonui County at Awanui:
No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from Spain’s Road to the Awanui River Bridge).

The Traffic (Mangonui County) Notice No. 2, 1970
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Mangonui County) Notice No. 2, 1970.
- The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during the period commencing with the 20th day of December in each year and ending with the 10th day of February in the next ensuing year shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 30 miles an hour fixed by the said section.
- The warrant dated the 13th day of December 1968*, which relates to Mangonui County, is hereby revoked.

SITUATED within Mangonui County:
At Taipa—
No. 10 State Highway (Pakaraka-Awanui via Mangonui) (from the Taipa Bridge to a point 25 chains measured westerly generally along the said highway from the said bridge).
Pamapuria Taipa Road (from the No. 10 State Highway (Pakaraka-Awanui via Mangonui) to a point 24 chains measured southerly generally along the said road from the said highway).
At Cable Bay—
No. 10 State Highway (Pakaraka-Awanui via Mangonui) (from a point 4 chains measured easterly generally along the said highway from Morley Road to a point 36 chains measured westerly generally along the said highway from the said road).
At Coopers Beach—
No. 10 State Highway (Pakaraka-Awanui via Mangonui) (from Kupe Road to a point 60 chains measured westerly generally along the said highway from the said road).

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Otamatea County) Notice No. 3, 1970.
- The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
- The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of Regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
- The road specified in the Third Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone area for the purposes of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
- The notice under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 dated the 14th day of August 1959†, which relates to Kaiwaka Township in Otamatea County, is hereby revoked.
- The notice dated the 31st day of July 1970‡, which relates to Otamatea County at Kaiwaka, is hereby revoked.
