Appointment of Examiner
PURSUANT to the provisions of sections 21, 50 and 50A of the Shipping and Seamen Act 1952, I, Allan McCready, Minister of Marine, do hereby appoint
Alexander King Ewing
to be an examiner for the purposes of granting:
(a) Certificates of competency as A.B., and
(b) Certificates of competency as qualified fishing deckhand,
as well as an examiner of applicants for sight tests, in terms of the Shipping and Seamen Act 1952, as from the date hereof.

PURSUANT to section 47 of the Judicature Act 1908, the Right Honourable Sir Richard Wild, k.c.m.g., Chief Justice of New Zealand, has this day appointed

Authorisation of the Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children Incorporated, 1970 Antiques Fair
PURSUANT to the Exhibitions Act 1910, the Minister of Industries and Commerce hereby gives notice as follows:

In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires—
“The Act” means the Exhibitions Act 1910;
“The promoter” means the Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children and the Antique Dealers Association of New Zealand;
“The exhibition” means a public exhibition of antiques and art to be conducted by the promoter at the Town Hall, Auckland, from the 8th day of October 1970 to the 10th day of October 1970 (both days inclusive), and to be known as the Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children Incorporated, 1970 Antique Fair. -
The exhibition is hereby authorised and declared to be an exhibition within the meaning of the Act.

Subject to the conditions set out in the Schedule hereto, the following provisions are hereby suspended in so far as they relate to work done or business conducted or services
